“A GREAT WEEKEND CUT SHORT...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2012

My husband and I decided to have a relaxing weekend away at the Bailey House, and Suzan was kind enough to let us bring our teddy bear along also. The Coach house was nothing short of wonderful, more than we expected!
The place was spotless and so well put together it felt like home. We explored the town that evening walking out and about with our bear, enjoying all the beauty. We ate at a great Bistro then retired with a glass of wine and conversation.
The beds are great and gave a well needed nights rest. The next day we spend the day shopping at the leather store and farmers market and had a hiking trip to Keji National Park. Unfortunately our visit was cut short because of an Ice and snow storm, and Suzan was more than understanding of our wanting to get home before it got really bad. She is a great lady and her love of the Bed and Breakfast truely shows in everything she does. We'll definitely be back. A gem in the little town of Annapolis Royal.

“Could not have been more comfortable.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 January 2012

My wife and I had the opportunity to stay at the Baily House last spring, and could not have had a more relaxing time. We had received a gift certificate as a wedding present from a relative who had a similar experience at the Baily House, and are glad we did.

Not much was open in town as it was Easter sunday, so we stayed in and just took advantage of our beautifully furnished room, the Coach House. It had everything we needed to truly relax, from a selection of new magazines, to a claw foot tub with heated floor in the bathroom.

We will be back, and will also be buying a gift certificate as a gift to pass along the experience!

“Any chance I get I love returning to The Bailey House”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 November 2011

I have been fortunate to combine business meetings with an autumn getaway four times now to Annapolis Royal and each time I arrive I feel more and more at home. The main reason for this sense of feeling welcome rests with my choice of bed and breakfast:The Bailey House.

Innkeeper Suzan Hebditch always makes me feel at home in her charming inn and her sumptuous full breakfasts like the colourful and stylish decor of The Bailey House will certainly please you and help you relax while you enjoy the historic and picturesque town. All the great inn flourishes are included, which for me involve a cozy chat by the fire and a guaranteed ultra comfortable sleep in one of the four beautiful upstairs bedrooms. The new addition of a carriage house allows for a family gathering's privacy but also proximity to the main house year round.

I can't wait to return.

“Great Respite”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 November 2011

We arrived at the Bailey House following a week of cycling. We stayed in the Coach House which had everything anyone could possibly want and or need. It was beautifully decorated and so serene. We enjoyed wine and snacks in the garden and spent a lovely afternoon exploring AR. Suzan was very pleasant and helpful with dining suggestions and area to cycle. We wouldn't hesitate to return and have already recommend the BH to several friends planning trips to NS in 2012. I kept marveling to my husband the only thing missing from this wonderful experience and setting was a dog :>).

Room Tip: The Coach House is wonderful. Great privacy for one or two couples.

“Beautiful House, Wonderful Breakfast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 October 2011

This is a very lovely house in a great location in Annapolis Royal. The breakfast is incredible, but be aware that it is served at 0830 sharp (at least when we are there); we showed up at 0827 but some other guests overslept and it was noted to them. Although some may have found Suzan's attitude a bit troubling, she can be charming as well as stern (as noted previously, breakfast is at 0830). As a person who does not tolerate fools gladly, I do not envy her in owning and running a B&B (I would last no more than a week!). Very recommended.
