My parents, husband and I stayed with Joan in her wonderful b&b in Herring Cove for 6 nights. It is about a 10 minute drive into Halifax and is a nice drive along the water passing a few yacht clubs. We stayed in the Eagle's Nest which is a self-contained ground floor, one bedroom unit. It has a separate livingroom, kitchen with microwave, fridge and coffee maker. There is a nice large tv in the livingroom which contains a day bed (she can also provide a cot). There are sliding glass doors leading to the yard where you can walk down to the dock. The b&b has lovely views of the cove and Atlantic ocean where you can watch all the fishing boats and cruise ships making their way in and out of Halifax harbour.

Joan provided a very nice breakfast menu and was delightful company. The unit was very clean and nicely decorated. The website is [---]. Overall I would definitely recommend staying at Sal's, it is a bit of a drive into the city centre but I find it nice to get out of the bustle of the city and Sal's location is brilliant and so relaxing!!
