Stayed for 1 night, September 29-30. Reserved one room at the government nightly rate of $140 CAD. The rate was available on their website, so I made the reservation myself.
My colleague and I arrived in the evening, and we were very promptly welcomed by the front desk staff. Everytime I passed by the front desk during my stay, there were always two people there. We were both quickly checked in and given rooms on separate floors.
While my colleague had a nice view of St. John's Harbour from her room, my room (340) overlooked the entrance to the parking ramp. Still, I had booked at the government rate so I wasn't expecting anything extravagant. My room had two double beds, two chairs, a desk, a flat screen LG TV and an old dresser. I needed to iron some clothes, but there were no spare outlets to be found. Instead, I set up the iron and ironing board in the washroom and used the electric shaver outlet.
During my inspection of the room, I found a prescription tablet, a plastic spoon and a one-dollar coin, all of which I left behind for housekeeping.
On the 5th floor is an exercise room, which seems like a hotel room that has been converted for exercise purposes. It has a treadmill, stationary bicycle and universal weights, all of which my colleague said were quite new.
There is free wireless Internet throughout the hotel, and there is a free Internet terminal in the lobby located across from the front desk.
The Quality Hotel Harbourview is a little bit dated, but it has an excellent location close to the waterfront and Water and Duckworth Streets. However, I would likely consider a less expensive hotel for another stay in St. John's.

Dear Guest,
Thank you for your recent review. Firstly, I would like to thank you sincerely for taking the time to comment on your recent stay. Customer comments are vital to our industry and without them we could not enhance the guest experience.
I am delighted to hear that your check in was smooth and attentive. As you reserved your own room online you would have booked the particular room type which was available. Unfortunatley, in that case we would not have assigned you a Harbour view room if you had booked a City view room. Perhaps we can assist you in reserving a Harbour view room on your next visit.
May I suggest on any future stay in our hotel or at any other that if you cannot locate something, in your case an oulet, that you should please contact the Front Desk as they could advise where the outlets are as in some cases they may be hidden by a curtain or piece of furniture etc.
We really appreciate our observant guests, while we strive for perfection we don't always get it right every time. We certainly apologize for the items you discovered in your room and agree that at no time is this acceptable.
Thank you for advising future guests of our facilities and all the positives of our hotel and our location, we appreciate you taking the time.
Hopefully we will have the opportunity to welcome you back to The Quality in the future.
Yours in Hospitality
