We found this hotel on the CAA site and booked it through that. Upon checkout we were told that the rate we booked online was wrong and we were charged $30 more. When I questioned that, the woman said "oh, they just haven't updated their website". How was that our fault? I even emailed the Manager of the hotel afterwards and he never responded.

In the room, there was no hot water so we called the front desk and it took them about three hours to figure out how to fix it. The free internet in the room cut out after about 5 minutes and we could hear the ice maker down the hall ALL NIGHT. It was a very unpleasant stay and I'm sure there are way better rooms anywhere else in Corner Brook.

This hotel has everything. Warm entrance and untra friendly staff that want ot make sure your stay is great. Ian and Pattie checked us in Fri afternoon June 25, 2010 and they were great with lots of helpful tips on what to do. Our room (just a regular room no frills) was spacious and very comfortable with a beautiful view of the city. The hotel has a a restaurant with excellent food, great staff and a patio so you can sit outside on sunny days and people watch on the busy downtown street with lots of small businesses. Although Corner brook is a small city, this location offers the feeling of a small upscale town with quaint shops and lots of birch trees in full bloom. It even has a pool. I am giving this hotel a 4* and won't bother looking elsewhere when we return as it's perfect. Outings included a drive to Gros Morne National park for the day...WOW!

The hotel was clean, staff was friendly. It is in a quiter area but within walking distance to a few restauants.
The high speed internet worked great, needed a cable from front desk though.
Would stay again

We have stayed there before kids, and were satisfied. However this time was not so great. The whole place needs to be cleaned and aired out, the carpets in the foyer, halls and rooms are in hard shape. The mattresses have seen better days, the pool deck has mildew stains, and the highchairs in the restaurant have torn stained cushions. Despite the mildew my son and husband really enjoyed the indoor pool, which was the key attraction to staying there, however we left early the morning after our one and only night because I didn't sleep because I got chewed alive by something, had no bites when i went to bed and was covered by 4:30am. I suspect that a previous guest had taken a pet into a this non-pet room? and left behind some little friends - at least I hope it was just fleas... My son was also covered with new bites and was very uncomfortable for the next couple of days. The night manager says she will refund us our money for the room.
