This was a squeaky clean, comfortable b&b with a good breakfast, and your laundry done for free. That is good enough reason to stay there, but much more important is to spend time with the proprietors, Rita and her daughter Anne Marie. They have an extraordinary story to tell and are two of the most amazing women I have ever met.

We stayed at Hagan's Hospitality Home July 16 & 17, 2011. We stayed two nights just because we heard so much about Rita. We got there late the first day so used the second day to do some touring around. Rita and her daughter, Ann Marie, make you feel right at home. The breakfasts were the best and they couldn't do enough for us. Rita had us in stitches....she is such a sweet lady and what a sense of humour.
Went to Ferryland where our husbands did the archioligy tour while we toured the gift store and walked up to the lighthouse. We didn't stay for the lunch offered at the lighthouse but regretted not doing so. It looked like an awesome experience! From there, we went to LaManche and hiked into where the swinging bridge was and earlier settlers. I highly recommend this but you better have good walking shoes on. Awesome!!!!!

This was a great first nigh stop after heading out from St. John's to tour the Avalon Peninsula. Rita will invite you into "her home" but make your stay feel like home. Rita is a genuine hostess - we had lots of laughs. You will not want for anything during your stay. The room was spotless (as is her home). Very helpful - we learned things and saw things we would not have known about if we had stayed in a larger facility. Food is good and filling and the hospitality is superb. We will be back - soon!
