We spent two nights at Elaine's B&B as a base for taking one of the boat tours out to the ecological reserve and for exploring part of the Irish Loop.
If you're looking for a "family / living in someone's house" feeling, then this place is it. But for us, a young couple travelling with our 8 month old baby that is used to staying in hotels, it felt a little awkward for some reason - I can't really pin it down. The views are impressive overlooking the ocean, and we even saw an eagle perched outside during breakfast one morning. One thing to note is that there are six rooms at this B&B so it can be quite crowded if there is a full house, which there was during our stay.
I don't really have any complaints and overall this B&B met my expectations, but I would like to provide a warning regarding the rooms. When I reserved a room, I remember talking with someone and noted specifically a Queen room just so we can save $20/night. Once we arrived, we were given a King room, and then later when I spoke with Elaine she said it suited us better and the playpen for baby would fit better so she moved us. I didn't bother arguing at that time since we had already settled into the room, but it would have been nice if we were given advanced notice of the change. In any case, Elaine did accommodate our baby by providing a playpen which we appreciated.
