If you like the warmth of a family environment, a spotless home, a scrumptious breakfast that will last you past lunch, very comfortable beds, a magnificent view and easy access to the Avalon, then why would consider any place other than Elaine's! Tom, Mike & I felt like we belonged from the words "hello". Elaine, her family and staff member are obviously very comfortable being B & B hosts. A short walk from the B & B, they also offer Zodiac tours of Witless Bay. A zodiac is the way to go - you are right next to the whales - we felt sorry for the folks on the boats - so far way from the action. We were lucky enough to see Fin and Humpback whales as well as some dolphins. At the bird sanctuary we saw Puffins, razor bills, gannets, kitty wakes, murrs and herring gulls. The two days we spent here was our best value of the week!

Elaine's is a great B&B. very friendly and welcoming. great breakfast choices and all sit together at one table and pass and talk as at home.

Elaine's breakfast is excellent and the muffins are to die for. Have you ever seen whales while having breakfast? We did at Elaine's as the house has fantastic views. If one day we come to Newfoundland we will be back!

My husband and I stayed at Elaine's B&B during the summer of 2010 on a short vacation to Newfoundland. Upon arrival, despite Elaine not being at home there was not directing us to our very comfortable and clean room. The house was spotless and many rooms featured a spectacular view, including all guestrooms, common areas and dining room. We were looking for a B&B outside of the city, where we could enjoy the scenery and take in some sea kayaking. Elaine's was situated perfectly for this activity with many kayaking companies very close by. We were suggested a wonderful restaurant for our supper and prepared a great breakfast which we enjoyed with the other guests the next morning. This B&B is very easy to find, ample parking and a large yard with lots of Muskoka chairs to enjoy the view. I would recommend Elaine's.
