We recently stayed overnight and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The room was delightful, the breasfast great and the hosts were welcoming and helpful. I would very much recomend this inn and would stay again if the opportunity were to arise.

We spent a total of 10 days at Tanners and had a wonderful time. Terry & Mercer were great hosts and went above what we expected to make our stay fun and comfortable. They arranged a private walking tour with a local historian for us and a private tour with a taxi company so we could visit St.Martin one day. The rooms are very clean, with comfortable beds and nice funishings. The breakfast is healthy and made with food from the local market. We felt like we were satying with family! The house is so lovely and has a lot of history. They do have a dog, but she is well behaved and very sweet. She was out of site almost all the time. If you rent one of the rooms downstairs they might allow you to bring your own small dog. If we return to Saint John we will stay here again.

You can't ask for a better B&B if you are visiting Saint John. This is a character home with a lot of history and situated within walking distance of the Wharf and downtown locations. If you are a family of 5 or more, they can accomodate you in their basement rooms that include a full kitchen and separate entrance. Breakfast was made to order and prepared for the time requested. What we really liked was the private garage for our car. As we were leaving the next day on the ferry, it was nice to not have to unload the car to load it up again. They have a backyard garden which will offer a quiet place to recline after a day on the town. Owners, Mercer and Terry have a lot of local knowledge and are more than willing to help organize tours, tee times and advice to sites to visit. The house has wireless internet. We highly recommend this location for anyone.

We stayed in what is called the 'Dining Room' - it is on a lower level and is great as has plenty of space and a little adjoining room. Fridge and microwave too.
Terry and Mercer were very helpful - good advice and let us do our laundry!
It was a nice stroll into the main town. The main house is full of character.
Breakfast was a veritable feast! Parking is just up the road.
I think it is great place to stay for visiting Saint John. Shame we had 1 night and it rained all day!
