Believe the bad reviews! This motel is not worth it. They will want your money and you are not worth it as their customer. I am a frequent traveler and this is the only place where Reception has given me a room (and a warning not to use the second bed). I initially asked for a quiet room but eventually had to change rooms as I had neighbors upstairs who got up at 5 in the morning and woke us up at the same time. I asked for a new room and I was given a two-bed room. Guess what? I used the two beds in the room and my credit card was charged with an extra $10!! Reception never told me this and they said that they had to charge a few more dollars because they had to clean the second bed (which was not supposed to be used). Things did not start well from the moment I had to pre-pay without knowing what I was getting into.

WORDS OF ADVICE: There are many more hotels and motels in the area. For $10 or $20 more you can get a more decent and comfortable hotel...It is definitely worth it, believe me!

We got off to a bad start when they charged me $5 more than the rate quoted when I made the reservation by phone. The room had a foul odor to it. There were mold and mildew in the bathroom and around the windows. When we pulled back the covers on the bed we found black hairs on the sheets. The owners were less than pleasant when we expressed any disapproval.

We stayed in this motel for two nights, at $65+tax per night. The room had a full kitchenette, including dishes, and was clean. They used to serve breakfast, but now they just have coffee in the main office.

There really is a nice view of Manawagonish Island, although not visible from my window, but from outside of the motel. The owners were pleasant and helpful.

I'd stay there again.
