Both Carl and Jim are wonderful people to sit down with for happy hour, have a glass of wine, and solve the world's problems -- and we did enjoy trying.They gave us run-of-the-house . . . . we could make coffee if the pot was empty, sit at the kitchen table with their friends while Jim made breakfast, and absorb lots of good info and ideas about where/what/etc. in Saint John.
The old house was wonderful . . . . even enjoyed going up and down the circular staircase. The back deck is large and comfortable . . . . we could pick fresh Artic Kiwi's (which Jim served for breakfast). And Carl even changed our towells every day!
Plenty of 'sitting/reading' rooms . . . . a few TV sets were also available. We could easily walk to the water front, shops, and dining.
Cost a few toonies more than some of the others, but certainly worth it.

This B & B is a wonderful place to stay while on touring St. John and the surrounding area. The owners were really helpful in places to see, things to do and the local restaurants. They even let us wash our clothes which was a great help since we had been on the road for a week.

What a great find. The architecture & the history of this house was fascinating. Our room was comfortable and well appointed. We especially loved the balcony. Carl was an excellent host and ambassador for the city of Saint John.

We stayed two nights in our recent trip to St. John. The owners Jim and Carl were very nice and extremely helpful with recommendations of where to eat and what to do. They have the sweetest cat ever as well, Oliver, who all the guests seemed to love. Our room, the Cranberry Room, was spotless, had a super comfy bed, and a cute little private patio where we sat and people watched while reading books. Overall it was a great stay.
