On one hand, this place isn't bad. The rooms are reasonably clean, the location isn't great but it isn't bad and breakfast was okay. But on the other hand, the hospitality you receive counters all the positives. I think the owner has the best of intentions but his brusque manner is a problem - at least it was to the six people in our party. When checking in, he quoted a higher price than originally agreed and when we told him this, he immediately offered to drop the price. Made you wonder if this is standard practice. There was absolutely no customer service and you got the impression you were an annoyance to the owner. Instead of a polite "let me show you to your room", you got a "follow me". I was led to a room off of the breakfast room which was rather strange. The room itself was fine and luckily we planned to be up early so I wasn't woken by the early breakfast guests - what would you do if you wanted a lie in? Breakfast was another opportunity to be bossed around by the owner and in the end, we were relieved to leave the place. There has to be a better place to stay in Saint John.

We found our room to be large and very clean. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was just what was promised and was very fresh and enjoyable. The location was ideal, a very short walk to downtown. We would certainly recommend this B & B to our friends. We have stayed in quite a few B & B in Canada and in Europe and this was one of the best. Thanks for a nice stay Steve.

The location was my first priority and it certainly met that need.
The "inn keeper " was very friendly, helpful and knowledgable of Saint John and nearby places of interest. He also served a delicious breakfast. I enjoyed being in Saint John so much that I stayed an extra day.

No hospitality - much more like a poorly run hostel.

Breakfast was some sort of orange colored liquid with slices of supermarket cake, a bowl of fruit, boiled eggs, slice of ham... our kids are both vegetarians...

We stayed there to easily get to the fundy ferry - not much help with directions. Fortunately a local driver led us there.

Run - very stingy and as though they clearly don't give a damn about their guests.

Avoid this place.
