The building is older and starting to get a bit shabby. We had booked online through a major 3rd party travel site and in doing so had inadvertently been assigned a smoking room. The hotel said they were unable to provide another room, so we endured the strong stink. I can't believe they still have smoking rooms - most other places have phased them out a long time ago.
The hotel is located on the outskirts of town in a light industrial area.
The nightly rate includes breakfast however the breakfast room is cramped, dim, and old. Not a pleasing experience. Choices were breads/muffins/cereal, juice, coffee, and a plate of hard boiled eggs with a cheesy hand written note taped to the wall with instructions on how to re-heat the eggs in the microwave. All in all the atmosphere was shabby and depressing.
I realize this is considered a 1 star property with basic accomodations, but they could still provide a better experience by sprucing the place up a little.
