Stayed overnight on the 24th June, 2007, driving home to Nova Scotia from Boca Raton, Florida.
We travel a lot, and over the years we've learned to check the rooms before we check in, no matter how tired we are.
There are 2-3 other local motels, a quick look at their rooms got us back in the car double quick, but this one was really nice, as described in the earlier review, large rooms, very clean, modern fixtures and fittings, a family owned and run by very friendly and helpful people.
We paid $110 for the night, twice what the other places were asking, but well worth it to say the least.
There's a pride of ownership in this place that makes the difference, and I have no problem paying a bit more, if not a lot more to get a clean, comfortable, modern, friendly place to stay in like this.
We arrived late, after 10 pm, and they didn't jack the rates up seeing we were tired. If/when I'm travelling or staying in the Saint John area this would be top of my list, even though I've stayed in the city centre hotels, this is quieter, and certainly value for money.
If only all the motels had this level of quality and service.
