This Holiday Inn was very good and a great place to stay if you are just stopping overnight as it is just off the highway. The amazing thing is that when we checked in as a Priority Member we were offered a complimentary water, pop or beer. The room was extremely comfortable and breakfast is included. We were pleased with this hotel.

The hotel is a boxy structure, the lobby low-ceilinged and a bit cramped. The room was a bit small but adequate. Renovated circa 2005 so everything is still relatively fresh.

Features the usual HIE amenities, e.g., upgraded bed and bedding, hot breakfast, including cinnamon rolls, in the morning. I liked the to-go coffee cups -- nice big size with a colourful logo image on them. Better than the usual small styrofoam you often get. Thank you, HIE!

Pet-friendly with no extra fees for the pets.

There's a Tim Hortons within walking distance. And a McDonalds, or, at least there will be -- they were building or renovating it when we were there September 2011.

I agree with this guy: “OK für eine Nacht”. Great for a one night stop-over, but, if you are in town on business for the week, you might prefer the Hilton or the Delta.

PS. I may not be a professional writer, but I did sleep at a Holiday Inn Express last night!

Stayed here on Canada Day. Very friendly welcome by the front desk, and very efficient service. For Canada Day, cake and some sort of punch were offered to guests; always nice to do something extra for national holidays!

Room was well equipped, and I had a good night's sleep. Swimming pool and jacuzzi are very nice, although it was very busy there most of the time. Ample parking space in the back of the hotel.

It's a twenty minute walk to downtown and to the waterfront.

I stayed at the HIE in Aug 2011 with a friend of mine we were very happy it was only a pit stop our way back to Ontario. The hotel was great the staff was helpful, the rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. The only thing was we had asked for two beds but only got one which was okay as we just wanted to sleep. The location when you put it in your GPS can be confusing if it is not up to date one minute you can see the hotel the next your like where do I get in? Key the entrance is on Chesley Drive. There is also a lot of construction going on so even if you have a view of the water all you see is the bridge a touch of water and a lot of construction. The pool and hot tub were perfect temperatures and were very nice to relax in.
