A couple weeks before Christmas we had occasion to stay at this hotel for a Saturday night. As this is a relatively new hotel and a Best Western Plus we knew what to expect. The front desk staff was friendly, quick and helpful. Rooms were clean and well maintained. When we returned from shopping, there was a junior hockey team bus in the parking lot and few other cars. We were assured by the front desk that the team was on a different floor and, in fact, we never heard a thing all night. The bus was gone by the time we made it down to breakfast.
As this hotel has no restaurant, the breakfast was a typical included hot buffet of scrambled eggs, hash browns and sausage. Also available was a waffle maker, bagels, muffins, breads, cereals, etc. a good breakfast to start off the day.
While there are many franchise restaurants nearby (Boston Pizza, Montanas, East Side Marios, Swiss Chalet, etc) I prefer a non-franchise restaurant and there doesn’t seem to be too many of them in the area.
Great spot to stay if have a car and you’re shopping as there are many big box stores and malls nearby, but it’s a bit of a drive to the city center if that’s where you’re heading or don’t have a car.
