Once upon a time when this hotel was new it was fantastic and posh. Now, a Holiday Inn Express beats it hands down. The once opulent Hotel is run down and tired. Rooms, worn out, carpet dated, chrome worn off the fixtures in the bathroom and OMG a CRT not LCD TV... oh boy. Funny thing is, I stayed here when it was new in the 90's and it was great, hasn't been updated since.
So for $135 a night, not $109 a night its not worth the look. BUT if you insist on staying here as some Oldies do, you don't have to worry about working out because both treadmills don't work and the gym is extremely dated and no voucher was provided for an alternate gym. The YMCA on York St is new and worth the ten dollar entrance fee.
One saving grace to this hotel is the staff, They are very professional and working in the dated hotel doesn't even fizz on them. Good on them.

Stay Elsewhere

I stayed at the Delta for one night while in town for meetings.
The hotel is located at the opposite end of Fredericton from the airport, but given the size of the city and lack of any heavy traffic, it’s not a huge issue. The room was spacious, with a nice view of the Saint John River, but could definitely benefit from an update to the furniture and décor. The TV remote had a mind of it’s own and the lack of wi-fi was disappointing. The buffet breakfast was quite good, with a wide assortment of items.
Would definitely consider staying at the Delta in the future, considering that it is one of only two large hotels in Fredericton.

The hotel has some excellent features: clean, spacious public bathrooms; well appointed executive rooms, and pleasant staff. But it needs sprucing up: the lounge/bar needs brightening up and an overall refub, e.g. the leatherette on the chairs was torn, the tables are sticky, etc. The main dining room, Bruno's, is undergoing renovations so the quality and variety of food were not up to par either. Our brunch buffet on the Saturday was a disaster. We had an upgaded room on the executive floor. It was clean, quiet and well equipped with all the useful little extras like Qtips, mouthwash, etc. The executive lounge was not staffed and the distributing machines on the floor were not well stocked either.

The hotel is nice, the crew is great and house keeping was nice. The river view is OK, the pool is also small like most hotels in Canada, Sauna was not that hot, and hot tub was not working. The food (dinner) was tasty too.

The main problem was the other guests! The pool was full of kids who kept diving and with no or minimum supervision. The kept opening the sauna and closing it, playing with tools, etc...
The guys next room were a party... and they acted like home... but a phone call to the guest services was enough to make them respect others for the rest of the stay.
There was a weed smell... bu we were leaving in few hours! We didn't care to contact the front desk but we expected the security to act... or house keeping... but i don't think it happened.

All in all, i will stay again... I can't blame the hotel and the management for what the guests did.
