Today's high in Winnipeg: 5F. When I checked into my closet, I mean deluxe guest room, the HVAC was set to COOL. That makes sense for Winnipeg in the winter. In the 45 minutes I've been in my room, it's warmed from 55F to 65F. I might be looking for a new room soon.

The room is clean, but it's terribly cramped. It's a small room to begin with, but by the time you add a king bed, chair and ottoman, armoire, entertainment center, and desk ... there's nothing left. So, make sure you don't get room 330 or 230, and you should be in good shape here.

This was my first visit to the hotel.
Stayed in a junior suite.
The hotel was recommended by a friend who had great things to say about the attached restaurant Chop.
The restaurant was amazing. I loved the meal. Service was great and the decor was very nice.
The hotel room was modern with a nice minibar area. The 'living room' had a poor choice of fabric as it made the room look much older than it is.
Overall it was nice.
I would stay here again.
The shuttle service and proximity to the airport make it a great hotel.

I have stayed at this hotel often over the last couple of months. The things that stand out for me are:

Great front desk staff
Great rooms, although can be noisy on the first floor. Clean and tidy, with great beds!
Chop is really good but not every night.
Pick up from the airport on time thou the transport is old.

The reason we picked this place was that they had the best park & fly deal. We had good service to the airport and it is close. We have not tried the Chop House yet. If you would compare this to the top Hotels - you will find the aisles narrower and the rooms less roomy ie smaller bathrooms and less tailroom. It was nice and clean and reception was good.
