I'm not a complainer but this is definitely an exception! When I arrived to check in, I had to wait almost 25 minutes and there were only 2 people in front of me. The frontdesk person was a few days new and still didn't know how to check someone in. Also he spoke very poor english and would walk away while you were asking him a question. I finally checked in and went to my room. My keycard didn't work. I had to walk all the way back with my heavy suitcase. After waiting another 15-20 minutes, I got another keycard. I check into my room and inspect the bed for bedbugs and then the bathroom to see if it was clean. It wasn't. There was hair on the toilet seat, hair on the coldwater tap and more hair in the bathtub. Plus the rug sort of smelled of mold or something old and there was many stains. I went back to the front desk and thank goodness, noone is in front of me. I told the man I wanted a different room, (I explained the above) and he said no, he can't do that. I said I wasn't staying in that room and that I was paying so much for a decent room and I wasn't getting my money's worth. I asked to speak to the manager and was informed there was no manager. I then asked to speak to the owner and the frontdesk man who barely understood english replied the owner was away. Finally a maid came by and I told her to help me and I explained to her what happened. She said, "Well. What you pay for the hotel room is what you get." (I paid roughly $140.00 for 2 nights). In the end, they finally agreed to change me to another room but they never forgot my complaint because over the next 2 days, my keycard did'nt work 3 times.
(The place is full of dodgy tenants and rude staff. If your on a very tight budget, stay at a backpacker's hostel because this place isn't worth paying for even $5.00)
