“Stag night in Winnipeg”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 January 2012

Booked the party suite on 6th floor for Saturday night - room was perfect for the group to have some cocktails and gather before we headed out. Clean and nicely appointed - the hotel is pretty new. Attached to the Casino, as well as a VLT lounge. Restaurant in hotel was good, restaurant in Casino was better.
Parking could be a but far from the biulding though..

“Never cleaned the bathtub. Look at pic”

We stayed in suite 500.

Got into the jet tub. After ten minutes we looked and there was huge yellow stains around the side from not being cleaned in a long time. Disgusting.

This couple had their wedding at our property on this evening and we received a lovely email from them complimenting us on our service, quality of food and handling of this most important event. One of the benefits of having a wedding at Canad Inns Destination Centre Club Regent Casino Hotel is that you have the use of a beautiful Jacuzzi Suite as part of your wedding package.
As these events are often involve many months of planning we take a significant amount of time and effort to ensure everything is perfect. This includes not only inspecting the suite but inspecting it twice for any possible issues. All room inspections are logged.
In this case, as soon as this issue was reported, we worked with this valued guest to ensure that it was corrected to the guest’s satisfaction. The situation has also been addressed with our housekeeping department.

“PRICE IS BECOMING OUT OF OUR BUDGET”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 August 2011

As always the staff is very professional and personable. The rooms have been the same since the hotel opened, with the exception of new bed coverings and microwaves in the room.
We love the location of this hotel, and of course the casino is easily accessible from the hotel. Sometimes its hard to find hotel parking but I am sure some casino patrons are parking in these spots.
The restaurant in the hotel is hit and miss, sometimes good and sometimes not.
I find the price is getting to be out of our budget. If you go online you can sometimes find a deal. We got a 40 dollar gift card from co-op which was an added bonus, but even with that and the loyalty points you can accumulate for starying there, I find it still pricey.
If you like a casino hotel, South Beach is way cheaper.

Room Tip: Check online for best deals. If it says no rooms are available phone the hotel directly sometimes t...

I have noticed that in the past few months there has been a few comments regarding the fact that we are getting a little pricey for the regular guests. As a new General Manager I believe it is important to address these concerns. All hotels will price themselves based upon market demand, when the hotel is full the few rooms left are obviously going to go for a higher rate. It is like that in every hotel essentially in the world. The Club Regent has in the past six months been host to a number of evacuees from the flooding up north. They have for better or worse been our guests since March of this year, which has pushed our occupancy up substantially. The hope for everybody, especially the evacuees is that they will be able to return to thier homes very soon and at that point you will see much more flexible pricing at the property and a return to some of the more accommodating rates that our regular guests have grown familiar with. I hope this offers somewhat of an explanation.

Enjoy the rest of the summer!

Sincerely,

Colin McBeath

“Expensive for what u get”

We stayed at this hotel for a hockey tournament. Hotel is attatched to a casino which wasnt a huge deal. We had a queen room with a sofa bed. Room smelled like stale smoke. Matresses were scary. Shared the bed because the sofabed didnt look too great. Every night we had people partying hard on our floor and nothing was done. Pool was quite small. Service at restaurant was horrible. Food not fantastic either. Only good thing was it was close to mall. 3 minute drive or so. Hotel was very far from the airport. All in all, not impressed for what we had to pay, and supposedly we got a deal!

Very good information, thank you so much for advising us on how we can improve. I myself have stayed in those rooms and although I didn't smell any smoke on the property. All Canad hotels are 100% smoke free and if you do there is an automatic $250.00 fine. Does everybody follow that? Of course not, after a possibly losing night in the casino people will do the oddest things. Nonetheless I will need to close that room down and deep clean to ensure the next guest does not have the same experience. As for the pullout sofa's....I agree they are horrible. They are ten years old and my four year old loves but for anybody larger than that they are very uncomfortable. I have it on my list to repace these as soon as possible. The mattresses are all brand new, they are the Restonic Brand which are very good but again I'll look into these.

Thanks so much for the feedback, without it we cannot continue to improve!
