“Average Hotel in an area that is a little rough around the edges”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

Downtown Winnipeg is rough around the edges, so I always select a full service hotel when staying there. Nothing really stands out about this hotel. The hotel was undergoing renovations, and there is no pool (even though their website says there is). Room service was good, except for one night when it took over an hour. Close to many facilities including the MTS centre. If you are a woman travelling alone, I wouldn't recommend going out after dark, the area where the hotel is located is a bit rough.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience at the Radisson Hotel Downtown Winnipeg, Owned & Operated by Canad Inns.

Our renovations have now been completed and we are very proud of the finished product. The recent enhancements to both, our product and service, has been very well received from our guests.

Our pool area was transformed into a beautiful new Banquet Facility filled with Natural Light and a walk out balcony. We have been diligent in updating our property information ensuring our guests are aware that we no longer have a pool.

Our In-Room dining allows our guests to have the same experience as they would in our formal dining room. Service and Food quality are all key components of this experience and I would like to extend my apologies to you for our failure to meet this goal. I have addressed your concerns with our Food & Beverage Team to ensure our service standards are consistently delivered to meet our guest's needs and expectations.

Our Guests Safety and Security is our #1 priority. We have taken many pro-active approaches to ensure when our guests choose the Radisson Hotel Downtown Winnipeg, it is a home away from home feeling so they can feel relaxed and enjoy everything we have to offer.

If I may be of any assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me directly at rburton@canadinns.com.

We look forward to welcoming you back in the near future.

Continued Success,

Richard Burton

“Uncomfortable, rude, and misleading.”

Went here on a business trip for a week. The extremely rude front desk staff made it seem like a chore to do the simplest task. The advertised pool is nonexistant; as is the free breakfast. The gym is tiny and everything squeaks. Worst of all. The room I had, with two doubles insteAd of a queen, had two completely useless and deplorably uncomfortable sleep number beds. Which were either hard as rock or completely deflated, also only the middle of the bed changes shape so the edges and head area are never in the right place. Only reason two stars is relative cleanliness and polite cleaning staff.

“Great place for a long term stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 January 2012

I have been staying at the Radisson in downtown Winnipeg for a week and I can say that the hotel is clean, well laid out, friendly and very convienent to downtown.
The MTS Centre is a beautiful facility down the street and very easy access from the hotel, even in -30 C weather!
The restaurant has very good food for a hotel with a good selection and very well prepared. The suites are large and comfortable with plently of work room to spread out projects. The bed is as comfortable as any I have had in any hotel and the maid service very effiecent. Good security throughout and a Starbucks in the lobby. I would recommend the hotel as a great downtown experience in Winnipeg.

“Not good enough.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 December 2011

Check in was awkward, finally received all of the pass cards for parking, elevator, and room. The Parkade's directions weren't visible, so we ended up carrying luggage through the parkade and down two flights of stairs just so that a maintenance worker could let us in through a side door.
The room was updated but tiny. 2 twin beds, that claim to be fancy because you can increase the softness or hardness by pushing a button. If you've ever gone camping and slept on a blow up mattress you'll realize it's not that fancy. The TV didn't work, so we had to have it exchanged.
After the first night... The walls are paper thin, could hear the young street punks partying all night from down the hallway, doors slamming shook the whole room. You'd think being twenty some stories up that traffic noises wouldn't affect you. Downtown must have had a riot or burnt down because the sirens were going all night.
The morning came early since there aren't any blinds or drapes, only a thin piece of white transparent cloth.
The only upside was that it's across the street for The MTS Center... Followed by some rehab centers I'm sure.

“Functional, not fancy”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 December 2011

Check in was easy and pleasant
Elevators are extremely slow and you wait to up and a long time to go down. I actually skipped breakfast in the hotel because I wasn't prepared for the elevator experience to go down to breakfast (on the 12th floor) and back to my room before checking out. This first 8 floors or so are parking so walking up and down from the 25th floor was not a great option.
Room was likely a good size however the furniture is too large for the space and so it was crowded.
Wi Fi there but you had to move furniture to get to a plug in
Beds are the sleep number units which I find hard to get in the right setting
Convenient to walk just about anywhere downtown.
