i booked this hotel through hotel.com while having a lay over in Toronto........ that was great.... once I got to Winnipeg I called the hotel to arrange for my shuttle...... that sucked... the lady who answered the phone told me th shuttle would be there in less than 10 minutes ... after 15 minutes I called back and a guy named Tim answered and said "oh we are sorry, no one sent the shuttle, we will do it right now" and true enough i got the shuttle....Tim appologized again when i got to the Hotel. I was not too happy about that after all it was after midnight and freezing cold outside.

I booked this hotel online(great price) because it was so close to the airport and had a free shuttle. When I got there I was quite surprised by the outstanding quality of everything this hotel had to offer. Ususally an airport hotel has just the basics because people are in and out so quickly. I decided to stay at the Hilton until by business in Winnipeg was finished (three more nights) and I negotiated a great rate for the remainder of my stay. The pool and fitness facility are very clean and well looked after. The staff are very friendly and helpful.(Thanks Stephen) I will definitely stay here again.

Located only half a kilometer from the airport, one would think this is going to be 'one of those hotels" but the Hilton Suites Winnipeg Airport is a terrific place to stay when in Winnipeg.

Call the hotel from Airport arrivals and a friendly shuttle driver will pick you up in minutes. Checkin was fast and efficient. Checkout was the same.

Rooms are large, well appointed suites with good lighting, excellent amenities. Bathrooms are clean, modern, with ample hot water. Beds and pillows were very comfortable and linens were certainly adequate although not luxurious, just good.

There is a small modern bar with a wide selection of drinks, friendly staff. Restaurant staff were superb, breakfast choices include a buffet or a la carte dining. Coffee is hot and good and comes in unlimited quantities, quickly. Entree items are good. The dinner menu is varied, portions are good sizes. The salads were really excellent. A simple side salad was terrific with extremely fresh produce that produced an "aaah" at our table when it arrived! One of our party has difficult dietary habits and they were met, even exceeded, without complaint.

The obvious question is, how much runway noise, and the honest answer is none.

Stay at the Hilton Suites Winnipeg Airport when you are in WInnipeg, you will be glad you did.

Received a free suite upgrade away from the pool which can be a bit noisy. The shuttle driver was prompt, helpful and friendly. Front desk personnel were professional. Even the behind the scenes kitchen staff helped me take my garbage when looking for a trash can.
