My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights as part of a Globus/Frountiers North tour in October 2011. This hotel is comprised of old apartments. Each room has two stories. Downstairs is a full kitchen and living room with a complete with pull out sofa bed. Upstairs is a loft area where the bed is located and the bathroom. The beds are old and the walls are thin. There was a coffee maker in the kitchen and hairdryer in the bathroom. The keys are just that, actual keys. There is a computer available for free use in the lobby and there is free wireless internet available throughout the hotel. If you are used to Marriotts or other chains, you will likely be disappointed with this hotel, however, you're in Churchill - a town of 900 people, what were you really expecting?!
This hotel does not have a restaurant. The Tundra Inn (hotel and dining room) is where we had several included meals on our tour - this was a 5 minute or less walk. Gypsy's Bakery is a 10 minute walk. You can easily walk across the entire town in 15-20 minutes. There are also a few gift shops within a few minutes walk. You can also walk to the Hudson Bay in about 5-10 minutes.
