“Over 400.00 a night for midewy shower and a neIghboring hot tub party at 3AM”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 January 2011

Upon check in we were assured that any and all noise complaints would be taken seriously and dealt with. We made two noise complaints during our stay. Management response was that guests we complained about were not booked through Resort Quest Whistler are not subject to the same noise regulations therefore they were unable to personally have the guests evicted,. Does then mean that a guest paying over $400.00 a night has to endure a hot tub party next to their bedroom at 3:30 am? This no comfort for any future guest experience at any Resort Quest property that I would have.

The general state of the accommodations was substandard, the furniture dated and uncomfortable. There was mold and mildew found in the shower stall and tub jets, also a loose sink drain. We opened the dishwasher only to have it fall out of its enclosure. It was full of half cleaned dishes. There were no coffee filters so we used paper towels which was a resulted in a mess and felt like camping. We called maintenance to have loose carpet on the stairs and a broken kitchen sink faucet repaired. They completed the request.
This was the worst and most over priced accommodation we have ever stayed in over thirty years of visits to Whistler/Blackcomb.

“Whister Retreat - a wonderful stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 April 2010

We chose Whistler Retreat unit 94 for its proximity to the lifts and the price per night. It is individually owned and you can contact the owner for rental directly through this website or others like FlipKey. This couldn't have been a better experience. This fully equipped condo was like we were at home and had all the amenities. The kitchen was fully stocked including spices to cook and grill, there were extra towels, sheets, and blankets, the bath/shower had a jetted tub and there was soap, shampoo, shower gel, and a hair dryer, there was a washer and dryer, an entryway with a bench and closet to store your wet ski clothes, ski's, boards, boots, etc., a complete home entertainment center above the gas fireplace including flat screen TV with cable, iPod dock, DVD's, books, and games, free high speed internet, surprisingly amazing cellular reception even on the mountain, and a BBQ grill on the patio with chairs and a table. It was an amazing 'like home' experience and the price couldn't have been better. The grocery store was a couple of minute walk across the street. There are all kinds of shops and restaurants in the village also across the street. The base of the lifts was a 10 minute walk (in ski boots!) but we didn't mind. There is parking below the complex if you have a car.

“Stoney Creek Lagoons Units 16 and 54 are Terrible! Do not stay there!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 April 2009

If you go to Whistler, Canada, and if you know you are going to stay at Stoney Creek Lagoons, please tell the management that you do not want to stay at units 16 and 54. This is just a quick list of what I remember I found there: dirty and scratched walls, old and dirty furniture, dirty showers, old and dirty bed sheets and linings, old and dirty carpet, the windows have no curtains (just some blinds that don't block sunlight). I also need to tell you that there is no daily cleaning service. Me and my family feel very sad to have found these units in such conditions, the price we paid for to stay there does not match with what we really got in return. So, in a few words: we were ripped off!!!!! Both units are individually owned, and are represented and managed for rent by Whistler Premier Resort Accommodations. Their website is: http://www.whistlerpremier.com/

“FANTASTIC! We will definitely return!”

We recently had the great pleasure of staying at Stoney Creek Lagoons for one week when our family came to visit from Toronto. Of course, being from Vancouver, we were in a good position to do our research first. We ended up renting #58 through Whistler Retreats (www.whistlerretreats.com), one of the management companies that manage this complex. Here’s what we found:

CHECKIN – Excellent service and very friendly. The front desk was in The MarketPlace Lodge, across the street from the complex. Finding our unit was a bit challenging, as every unit has their own front door to the outside – so not like a hotel with one entrance. Once we found our unit, we actually liked this set-up. It felt like our own townhome, with no hallway noises that would be typical of a hotel.

ACCOMMODATION – Unit #58 was great. Furniture and carpet looked new. Kitchen was well stocked, and there was a BBQ on the balcony which we used quite a bit. One bedroom had a king-sized bed that could also be made as twins and the other had a queen bed. They were on the second floor, which was good for those who wanted to go to bed early. Because there were 6 of us, we also used the pullout in the living room, which was good as pullouts go. There were 2 bathrooms, both with showers.

LOCATION – we specifically chose this location as we wanted to be within easy walking distance to the Village and ski hills, but not in the Village. As another person said, it can get really rowdy at night in the village, well into the early morning. In the evening we found it to be very easy walking access to restaurants, etc. And in the daytime we took the free shuttle to the hill that stops right outside the complex. Also, having the grocery store right across the street was a bonus.

Overall, it was great. Nice quiet complex close to everything. Great room. Good service.

“Cozy Hotel in great location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 March 2009

We stayed at the Stoney Creeks Lagoons Hotel and really liked it. The living/dining room was spacious and carefully decorated. The kitchen was spotless and better equipped than my own at home. You could have cooked a 5 course menu. The bedroom was small but comfy and the bathroom was just right. The studio had a washer/dryer, hairdryer and dishwasher and a 'fireplace'. We did have to carry our bags quite far from the reception and the corners of the bathroom (behind the door) were dusty and had hairs of all kinds just lying there. The other rooms however were very clean and we would definitely go back. The location was great, since it was quite but very close to all the shops and restaurants and the staff at the reception was very friendly.
