“Great Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 February 2012

The Pan Pacific Whistler Village Centre was everything that we had hoped for and more. The room was very clean. The room was actually a one bedroom apartment. It had a separate bedroom, kitchen with everything needed to cook and eat in, and it had a fireplaced living room.
Add in the " bonuses" like free wifi, buffet breakfast included and the Managers reception nightly serving wine or beer it was excellent.
I almost forgot the room comes with a free mountainside ski locker right at the base by the gondolas. Great for dropping your stuff and heading to après ski at all the great bars and restaurants without going back to your room.

Room Tip: Skip the studio and go for the one bedroom. You will be glad you did.

“Great Location and Service.”

We stayed in a two bedroom apartment with 8 people and it was fabulous. The apartment was a very good size and had a lovely view. The kitchen was well equipped with all the things you would need to cook. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance if you didn't care to cook. The hotel has a laundromat on sight which was extremely helpful as our children got quite wet. The price was also very cheap....$2 a wash.
The staff at the hotel were very friendly and knowledgeable about the area and what to do. Breakfast was average with bacon, scrambled eggs, baked beans, cereal, toast, not much fruit and a few pastries.
I would definately stay at this hotel again.

“Charming hotel...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 January 2012

First of all, the only negative I have for the hotel is the rooms are pretty standard which I have seen a million times in 3-4 star hotels. If they increased the quality of the pillows and the linens I would say they knocked it out of the park. Actually the same can be said of the mountainside which I have also stayed at.

What they truly do is serve the customer. Clean and tidy and neat and beatiful. They offer a very nice breakfast and a 4 to 5 cocktail party, where my party of 8 attended every day. It was a great way to unwind and share stories from the day. It was well attended by what seemed everyone staying at the hotel and it was a huge highlight of the trip. Very friendly front desk. Convenient center of the village location and to the essential Starbucks.

The location is very close to the lifts and the deck offers a very clean pool and two jacuzzi's

Room Tip: Higher for better view...

“Pan Pacific Hotel over New Years”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 January 2012

This is a wonderful hotel. We holidayed in USA and Canada over a 5 week period and would say this hotel was easily the best. We were only in Whistler for 2 weeks, howeve we would not have enjoyed as much if we had stayed anywhere else - I am convinced of this and we will certainly return.

We arrived on the 29th Dec and booked a one bedroom suit for us - a family of 4 (2 girls 10 & 11 y/o). The room was spacious and certainly accommodated us, however the plan was always to move to a 2 bedroom on the 2nd January when the accommodation was much cheaper!

The two bedroom apartment was fantastic - very spacious and exceeded our expectations. Always well maintained by good house keeping staff.

However it is the little things that make a holiday. Make no bones about it, we were here to ski and the fact we had a locker at Pan Pac Mountainside where we could place our skis at days end was magic. Step off the snow, walk 100 yards and bingo, skis away! When you have been the "pack horse" carting skis for all the family, this is great!

Another small thing but one we appreciated was at days end and we had showered after a good day skiing, the Pan Pac Village would have an hour between 4.00pm and 5.00pm where you could visit their lounge/bar and enjoy a hot chocolate and cookie, or beer/wine on the house. In our situation the girls would have their hot chocolate (and cookie) and then rush to the hot tubs outside where they would catch up with newly acquainted friends. Mum and dad would sit inside and enjoy that wine and beer! Very much welcomed and appreciated.

Every morning we were also to enjoy a full buffet breakfast as part of our paid accommodation. If you get tired skiing like we did, you certainly appreciated a good breakfast to start the day which was supplied.

We have never been to Whistler before and the Pan Pac Village Hotel was recommended by friends - and we will certainly return. The hotel is well located in the village, but it was the small details mentioned above that made it for us. The hotel Manager (Jim) and all the staff were absolutely great - can't speak highly enough.

Hope this helps those who are considering the hotel. You will not be disappointed.

Room Tip: We stayed on level 7 and 8 (8 was the single BR). I would recommend rooms higher for good views.
