excellent choice for accomodations as it relates to:
1. proximity to village / ski lifts (10 mins to whistler, tack on another 5 for blackhomb, but ther is shuttle service, too)
2. Room cleanliness (although cleaning is offered every 4 days, or fee for daily clean)
3. amenities (especially free wi-fi, but lack of restaurant in lobby is minor inconvenience)

Arrived at Cascade Lodge and went to the car rental reception by mistake, 2 very friendly ladies there pointed us to the hotel reception.
Naomi who was on reception, failed to acknowledge us and cut me off mid sentence when I was saying we had a reservation with a sharp "yep". There were no pleases or thank yous, no eye contact and certainly no warm welcome or any feeling that if we had any questions or issues she would be approachable! We dealt with her on 2 more occasions throughout our stay and she was consistently rude and misereable.
Our room was comfortable, clean, spacious and had everything we could possibly need in the
kitchenette which was great.
In short - the hotel had everything we needed and was great but my lasting impression is of the worlds most miserable And unhelpful receptionist!
