“Great Location, but noisy.”

We picked Glacier Lodge for the location and price. It's an easy walk from this hotel to the lifts and you can store your equipment downstairs at the rental shop. Easy.

I really enjoyed the restaurant (Ciao Thyme) and the little pub (The Fitzsimmons Pub) inside the hotel. The pub was especially nice and cozy. It seems to be a nice local hangout.

The room was simple without any extras. It was clean, but only gets cleaned once every 4 days which wasn't a big deal. It would have been nice to have a little bar fridge or something like that. If I were to go back, I would get a room with a kitchenette. When staying for a week, its hard to eat out 3 meals a day everyday, and it gets expensive.

The biggest problem with this hotel is the noise. I could hear the tv in the next room with no problem. I could also hear people walking around above us all the time.

Not a bad stay, but pretty basic hotel.

Room Tip: Ear plugs if your a light sleeper.

“Appalling service from staff, but cheap if you book direct with owners”

As with others, we found that staff here were rude and unhelpful.

While we booked direct with the owners, the staff at the desk did not know that when we asked about the facilities. They were rude and unhelpful. Very disappointing.

Two things helped. We booked direct with the owners and got a great condo, and it was cheap, because we booed direct!

Try alluradirect.com to save some money. We were in #130.

“Glacier Lodge”

Friendly staff, excellent facilities and room (studio), close to main ski lifts, quiet room, small supermarket very close by, restaurants and sports shop in same building.
The only down side was the cost which along with lift passes and meals out was about twice that for similar in Zermatt, Switzerland. The exchange rate is against us at present.
