“quality stay- location and room”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

first time at Executive Inn and we liked it so much we are going back in 2 weeks...
large comfortable room, kitchenette to keep beverages cold, quality bathroom/shower, comfortable bed and comforter, wood burning fireplace, and large balcony for fresh air and view.. all for a good price.. we were very satisfied.. only negative would be absense of free WiFi, tho HotSpot is not too expensive- these days, free WiFi should be standard.. other than that, can't beat the location; nice people at front desk; and a joy to stay at..

Room Tip: we were on the front side, facing onto the Village Stroll- we liked the action and activity of the s...

“Great ski in/out hotel in Whistler Village”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 January 2012

I've stayed in Whistler Village several times at the Whistler Village Inn and Suites, but thought we would try a different hotel this time. We stayed 6 nights here in a queen loft and loved it! The location is unbeatable, 2 minutes to the lifts. We enjoyed being right in the middle of the action of the village. THIS IS WHY YOU STAY HERE. If you're fussy about all the little things people like to complain about then stay at a very expensive and out of the way hotel. But if you want to enjoy what Whistler Village has to offer, stay here. Friendly staff, very nice rooms, would not hesitate to come back. We had a perfect vacation thanks to the Executive Inn

“Don't ever book at the Executive Inn Whistler!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 January 2012

I have made a 2 week research to find the perfect hotel for our anniversary and was willing to spend some money on a nice accommodation in Whistler. I found the webpage of the "Executive Inn" and really liked the style of the hotel and the fact that they had a loft suite with a wood fire place and a bathtub (which was an important factor for me since the hotel does NOT have a hot tub and we like taking a hot bath after a day of skiing) made me decide for the hotel. Already the booking turned out to be very complicated. I had to check with the hotel 3 times to make sure that they received my reservation I placed on the phone with a booking service provider on their webpage (the women had a very strong Indian accent and was really hard to understand). At the end we got there and they did NOT have our reservation, even though we had confirmed with them before! When we arrived at the hotel (great location but very old style and smelly) we were told that they did not have any hotel parking (for an extra $20/day) left. So we unpacked the car and parked a 10 min. walk away. When we got to our room we were very surprised. It was very small and old and to our surprise, the bathroom did not have a bathtub as shown on the picture (and it was included on the description on their webpage). The bed was very small and uncomfortable and did not have "high thread count linens and a down comforter" as it is stated on their webpage but had a terrible synthetic blanket and an uncomfortable mattress. We were shocked about what we found in comparison to what they show and state on their webpage. We went back down to talk to the Manager of the hotel. The girl at the front desk (Jessica) told us that SHE was the manager and when we asked her about the bath tub she said that they did a renovation of the hotel and took out all the bath tubs. Apparently they did not update their webpage since then (3 years ago!). She offered us a free wood package for the fire place (value $5) for the inconvenience. We decided not to stay but she refused to pay us back the money ($300 for 2 nights!). She became VERY unfriendly and said she wanted "proof of evidence" about the wrong information stated on their webpage but refused to let us use the internet in the hotel. We had to walk 10 minutes to pay for internet and showed her the picture with the bath tub on my IPod. She went on discussing and only when we said we would post a rating in internet she paid us back the money. At the end we could not get any hotel room for 2 nights because everything at Whistler was booked out and it took us 2 hours to find a hotel just for 1 night at the WestIn (a very nice hotel and less expensive!). We finally arrived there at 1am totally exhausted and disappointed because we had spend the night of our anniversary fighting with a hotel manager! I would never recommend that hotel to anyone! The second night we stayed at the Coastal Inn Blackcomb Suites which was fantastic!

“Awesome Time!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 January 2012

My wife and I spent our 18th year anniversary at the Executive and really enjoyed our time. We were right in the heart of Whistler Village. The staff were terriffic and the rooms are top notch. We could not have asked for a better 18th anniversary.
