“Winter Holiday”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2012

This holiday was booked early in 2011 and with this we had a room upgrade to a studio, the room was spacious and on the top floor with a good view. On arrival we found the front of house staff very helpful, polite and nothing was to much trouble. The room was immaculate and was always cleaned to high standard, having the advantage of a suite gave us the freedom to cook our own meals as we found the village expensive, speaking with a local it was claimed Whistler is a third more expensive than Squamish and Pemberton. With the luxury of a washing and dryer machine saved on the luggage allowance and nice to freshen clothing for next days skiing.

The leisure facilites were very good and gym was well epuipped for passing the time. The pool and jacuzzi were a lovely way to unwind after a long day skiing and the outdoor jacuzzi was warm and quiet at peak times the inside would get a tad busy after 15:00 hours. Couple of things we did find was a used cigar in the sauna and bottles caps around the pool for at least 2 days not the end of the world but a bit untidy.

The hotel was in a good location and 5-10 minute walk to the base of the mountain, there is a shuttle that leave's the hotel on a regular basis which we caught and only takes a few minutes. The village is lovely with loads of places to eat and bars to drink and unwind. There are plenty of ski shops so competion is good so don't always rush to the shops that the reps recommend.

We were there over the Martin Luther-King weekend and the place was packed with American students who were found most were only there for the drinking, this would not be a problem but we were kept awake by until early hours when the drunken revellers would return.

Lovely holiday and first time in this great hotel and we would return.

Room Tip: Upgrade to a suite and top floor keep away from rooms looking into village as nightclub is below som...

We really appreciate the feedback you have shared on this website. Overall it sounds like you had a great winter holiday, I am happy to hear that the kitchen and hotel amenities provided you with plenty of options and convenience in Whistler. Very sorry to hear about the fact that you found litter that was left in the pool area and the loud teenagers over the holiday weekend. The American long weekend does bring an active weekend to Whistler but I am happy to report that we have proper measures in place to control the noise to ensure that all guest feel welcome and relaxed regardless of the weekend or event that may be happening around us. Lastly Thank you for the wonderful comments about the employees. This is why people like you enjoy staying with us time and time again.

Thank you for staying with us and hope to see you in Whistler again soon.

Sincerely

Alex

“Our fav place to stay in Whistler”

We are Delta members so we get early checkin, late check out and free wifi. We check out as late as 6pm so if you are snowboarding this is perfect!!

Room as nice, spacious, clean and pet friendly. We usually book a one bedroom with queen and it fits baby crib, dog and all our gear comfortably.

Sometimes they have excellent deals so book when you see the sale! It's worth it:)

First of all, Thank you for being a Delta Privilege member. This has no annual cost and does provide you with free Internet, rewards for stays and a 3pm late check out in Resort Hotels and 6pm check out in City Hotels across the hotel chain just to name a few.

Very happy to see that you had a great stay with us and you are certainly always welcome to make the trip up the sea to sky highway any day to stay with us.

Hope to see you again soon.

Got a great deal through Whistler Central Reservations for one night at $150 for a 1 bedroom with full kitchen. Room was a nice size, clean and well equipped for the price. The staff was very friendly and the pool area was great.

“Regular by now at this hotel”

This must be my 12th stay at the Delta Whistler Village Suites. The highlights are that the suites are spacious with fireplace, full kitchen, washer/dryer, and my package also included free cook-your-own breakfast. The value is good! The pool and hot tub area is nice with three hot tubs but unfortunately none of them were hot enough, low water levels and lacked good jets. The hotel staff are the best in whistler and lots of familiar faces every time I come here. I'd give this hotel two thumbs up and will be back again.

Room Tip: Mountain-view suite on the 4th floor or higher

First of all, Thank you for being a loyal guest at our hotel. It really means allot to us that you choose Delta Whistler Village Suites as your home away from home. Hot tubs can be temperamental at the best of times but I can assure you that we are taking every measure possible to ensure that we are constantly improving our hot tub monitoring, temperature and water levels. This is important for an overall great stay and appreciate the feedback in this area. Lastly, As I say many times before on here that it makes it very easy to come to work each day and share great feedback about our employees. Without them doing what they do each day, we would not have people like you come and visit us so often.
Please stop by and say hello the next time you visit us.
Until then
Alex

“Great place - relaxed atmosphere”

Here for a 5 day ski trip. Wonderful bed. Spa hot tubs were great, could have been hotter a few days but still very good. Very nice pool. People would put on their bathing suits and wear their provided robes to go to the spa, i liked that it was so relaxed for that. In suite facilities all ok, everything working and in good repair. Great to store skis after skiing in the shop, had to take the hotel provided bus to the base of the hill, the drivers were great and we never had to wait very long for one. Good value for the price.
