This holiday was booked early in 2011 and with this we had a room upgrade to a studio, the room was spacious and on the top floor with a good view. On arrival we found the front of house staff very helpful, polite and nothing was to much trouble. The room was immaculate and was always cleaned to high standard, having the advantage of a suite gave us the freedom to cook our own meals as we found the village expensive, speaking with a local it was claimed Whistler is a third more expensive than Squamish and Pemberton. With the luxury of a washing and dryer machine saved on the luggage allowance and nice to freshen clothing for next days skiing.
The leisure facilites were very good and gym was well epuipped for passing the time. The pool and jacuzzi were a lovely way to unwind after a long day skiing and the outdoor jacuzzi was warm and quiet at peak times the inside would get a tad busy after 15:00 hours. Couple of things we did find was a used cigar in the sauna and bottles caps around the pool for at least 2 days not the end of the world but a bit untidy.
The hotel was in a good location and 5-10 minute walk to the base of the mountain, there is a shuttle that leave's the hotel on a regular basis which we caught and only takes a few minutes. The village is lovely with loads of places to eat and bars to drink and unwind. There are plenty of ski shops so competion is good so don't always rush to the shops that the reps recommend.
We were there over the Martin Luther-King weekend and the place was packed with American students who were found most were only there for the drinking, this would not be a problem but we were kept awake by until early hours when the drunken revellers would return.
Lovely holiday and first time in this great hotel and we would return.
