Hadn't been to Whistler for a few years and had previously stayed at the Westin. That was refurbished and the rates had escalated so time to try somewhere new.

We had a luxury studio which has a drop down bed which some may not like but the space during the day is great, and the bed really comfortable. The kitchenette is well appointed with oven and microwave. Tiny balcony but not really a problem at this time of year. Any staff we encountered were friendly and efficient. Our only problem (a light which didn't want to work) required three visits (started to work and then stopped again) was dealt with promptly and within a quick time frame and at our convenience.

Ski/boarding equipment can be hired downstairs and it's sooooo convenient for the slopes and the village.

This was our third trip to the Pan Pacific Mountainside. You just can't beat it's location! The Whistler and Blackcomb gondolas are directly outside the hotel. And the views are awesome! The rooms are spacious and include a kitchen. It is the best hotel to watch the fire and ice show on Sunday nights. All of the great Whistler restaurants are within walking distance. We love to sit in the outdoor hot tub apres ski and then a quick sit in the Eucalyptus smelling sauna. I only wish there was laundry facilities in the rooms. And the work out room needs some free weights. No spa services on-site.

Very enjoyable stay in a valley studio suite on 5/F. We picked the hotel for its location and everything was really convenient, including the free marketplace shuttle which stops next to the hotel. There were just the 2 of us and so the studio suite gave us adequate space. The murphy bed was surprisingly comfy but opening it up without making a big thump takes some practice. Like what others said, the kitchenette was very well equipped. Stove, oven, microwave, toaster, coffee machine, dishwasher, pots and pans, crockery, cutlery, sugar, cream, salt, pepper, coffee and English Breakfast tea bags. There were some misses by housekeeping but nothing major. We kept the balcony door ajar for fresh air during non-sleeping hours and closed overnight. Either way, there wasn't any noise problem except for some faint vehicle sound in the early morning which I heard as I had jetlag and couldn't sleep. All the staff were friendly and helpful. If you plan to eat at Dubh Linh Gate, either sign up for its loyalty club on its website or grab a discount card from Summit to get 20% off. The pub also delivers to the room but the prices seem to be $2 extra per item. This was our first trip to Whistler and we found the resort town channel on the tv helpful for village shop info, daily temperatures and lift status.

This is the best location possible for skiers. Imagine just picking up your skis from the lobby and the gondola to Blackcomb is just in front of the hotel! The 2 bedroom suite is just the right size for a family of 6. Every other night, we got cookies and milk for the kids. Hotel staff has been friendly and helpful. The only exception was not getting a higher floor room as requested but it didnt really affect our stay at all. The heating was a little strange and it was significantly cooler in one of the bedrooms but that seemed to to be okay by our 2nd night. Anyways, if the rates stay the same next year, would love to come back.
