My husband, 5 year old daughter and 2 year old son stayed at the Bear Mountain for a cousins wedding in November. From start to finsh, the service was excellent. I was staying in a suite because of the kids, and had a king sized bed, large bedroom, huge bathroom with shower and soaker tub, separate living room, and a fully equipped kitchen. I went to walmart and stocked up on groceries so I could make meals in our room. There is also a trolly system that is by donation and will take you to nearby spots in Victoria including a strip mall with a grocery store. Check the times (you can get the map at the front desk) as they are not super frequent.
The grounds are gorgeous. My husband played golf a few times and still cannot stop talking about the course. If you are considering getting married her, you will not be disappointed. My cousin had a great wedding coordinator and all the little details were attended too. The reception dinner was also great, with the chefs making what I requested (off the menu) for my two little ones.
The one thing I need to say is that the service was amazing. On our second day there, I had an accident with a cup, had a huge gash in my hand and had to go to the hospital. My husband called the front desk, they rushed a hotel medic up right away who checked me out. I needed stitches, so he then drove me and my husband to the hosptital and asked us to call him when we were done. We called them, and they were too busy to send a hotel staff to come get us, so sent a taxi instead, which they would not let us pay for. They also checked in with me several times during the rest of my stay to see how I was feeling. I felt very touched that they cared so much and went above and beyond my expectations,
There is a nice pool, gym and hot tub as well.
If you stay here, you will not be dissapointed.
