We stayed in victoria for only one night. The hotel was dirty. The front desk personel were too busy on the telephone to answer even the simplest of questions. THe room was very small, musty and very warm. There were multiple stains on the carpet. There were large holes in the wall were the baseboard heating attached. The bathroom sink was not attached to anything (except by the pipes) Fixtures were rusted and rotting. Overall a waste of money

Booked a room at the Travellers Inn based on the wonderful picture on a brochure stocked on the ferrys to Vancouver island. There was a water slide pool and very nice garden featured in the advertisement. On arival I was told there is a water slide and pool but not at this location. Fair enough but this was the address and phone number on the brochure with the wonderful pictures. They dropped the price to $99 from $159 . We stayed but felt this was not a very honest way to run a hotel. We did find the location with the water slide It is a staged photo very well done. I would not nor would my kids swim in that pool did not see anyone else swimming. Then they charged me an energy surcharge, unannounched and unheard of in any other hotel motel I've stayed at.

We stayed there for one night and paid about $81. For the price, it was a deal. The hotel is average but the room was immaculous. Parking was free and there was a free shuttle to downtown core, we had our own car so did not bother. Breakfast was free in morning. Overall, a good stay for the price.

After having problems booking online, I should have looked elsewhere. This hotel has two buildings and my small room was in the one with no reception lobby. Lack of upkeep was evident in the peeeling paint, broken window latch, and electrical plate hanging off the wall. I would not stay here again, despite good location to downtown and cheaper rate.
