My husband and I visited Victoria and Iris Garden Country Manor in late June in the height of the garden and tourist season. Iris Garden is just a few minutes from downtown Victoria, yet feels a world away from all of the hustle and bustle of the city! The Inn is in a pastoral setting, has lovely gardens of it's own and the rooms are light and airy and immaculately clean. The owners are gourmet chefs and their four-course breakfasts are amazing! But the thing that really sets Iris Garden apart from other upscale inns is the warmth and level of hospitality from owners David and Brigitte. They never hover or intrude,but somehow manage to anticipate your every need. They are extremely knowledgeable about almost everything that is happening in and around Victoria. If, by chance, you have a question that they can't answer, they will immediately search by phone or computer until satisfied. They will happily make any arrangements you desire. We left them wishing that we had a few more days to enjoy being with them and their peaceful respite in nature.
