Spent time at the QV twice during this winter and came out happy with the experience. The second time I had to go away on a biz trip to the US and my wife remained at the QV with my son. We selected a suite that looked like it would do the job but unfortunately it did not (too much luggage, etc.). I wrote to the hotel front desk manager, Ms Huh and she was super helpful, organizing a move to a different suite and arranging a better rate to offset the initial frustration. This is just to say that the staff is very helpful and they will go the extra mile to make sure guests are having a pleasant stay. Other good things - Samuel's restaurant downstairs has great breakfast and the location is really convenient, being close to downtown (5-10 min walk you're at the main places). Plus it is right next to Beacon Hill park if you want to take a nice walk or jog and is right next to the Royal BC Museum + IMAX theater. So all in all a great option with reasonable rates, various room configurations to suit your needs and a staff willing to please.

We took a midweek break and stayed at the Queen Victoria hotel, having reserved the room on-line. The check-in was delightfully smooth, the desk clerk was pleasant and efficient, the room was clean and well-maintained and the bed was comfortable. The only problem was slight, in that when the wind was strong it 'howled' through the patio door locking mechanism, causing us some amusement. The hotel is close to the harbour, and an easy walk to many attractions. We plan to stay there again soon.

after arriving in canada after a long flight i was delighted to arrive at my first hotel and was not dissapointed check in was smooth my room was very confortable staff were good this hotel is in a great place close to everything and their is a conceirge on the premises to help you the resturant has a excellent for dinner or breakfast would stay again

The QV was our choice for two nights, Christmas Day ansd Boxing Day. Had never visited this hotel before. Outstanding; comfort, service, efficiency, location, great breakfast choices, wonderful decorations in the foyer, and a Christmas gift bag awaiting us in the room. The location is ideal for walking to many of Victoria's attractions, including the Royal B.C. Museum, Empress, Legislature and our grandsons two favourites, Miniature World and the Bug House.
Hotel has a high-quality gym, very pleasant pool and excellent, large hot-tub.
Very pleasant stay, too short, but will definitely return. Thanks to all the staff who worked through the Christmas period and did such a great job.
