“Great place to stay”

We have just returned from 2 weeks touring in B.C. and Alberta, and for our 2 nights in Vancouver we stayed in the Eden room at this lovely Inn.The room was spotless, tastefully decorated and the bed was excellent. The bathroom had a large bath and a great shower. There was also coffee/tea and a small cooking area as well. There was also a flat screen tv and you could use the laptop outside the room free to access the internet.
The breakfasts were wonderful, and the host Inara was very helpful in helping us see the sights of city. The Inn is in a very quiet spot but only a 5 minute walk to numerous good restaurants and bars. You won't be dissapointed if you stay here. Also there is ample free parking right beside the Inn.

“Excellent - But Bring Cash”

The Camelot Inn was as it has been reviewed by TripAdvisor guests. Beautiful, spacious, immaculate with keen attention to the smallest details. We had one of the excellent suites - all that was available when we called to reserve - and so, didn't have a chance to enjoy the food.

We reserved by email a week in advance and were asked to provide a Credit Card number and expiry, which we did. We were surprised when we checked in, to be told that payment for suites was cash only. We had completed a very long day of travel, and hadn't had dinner. Back to our vehicle we went to find a bank machine. We felt that we should have been informed of this when we reserved - just so that we would have been prepared.

  • Disliked — Not being informed of cash only for payment

“loved the Camelot”

We have to echo all the other reviewers who loved the Camelot. It is a world apart from almost all other B&B's we have stayed in -- which is a lot.. Inara is an excellent host and if you are there more than a night she soon becomes your friend. She told us the story of how she came to Canada, and of how she came to own this wonderful house --- which was only brought back to it's full glory through her's and her families dedication and hard work. But the charm of every room is all Inara, and she has impecable taste. The Inn is spacious, warmly inviting, and immaculately clean Then of course there is her breakfast, which Inara takes great pride in. Everything is prepared fresh so everyone is seated together at 8:30 sharp. If you can't make it you can pass on the breakfast and Inara will credit back to you a proportionate amount of your room tariff. We had three breakfasts and each was different and delicious, plus you ate till you were full. No rationing here.

The location in Kits was perfect with everything you need within a few blocks. Yet at night the city outside was so quiet we never heard a sound. And the feathered bed was a dream sleep. Thanks Inara. You may be an accidental B&B owner but you are among the very best at it.

“A Vancouver Gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 August 2006

We stayed in the Eden room at the Camelot Inn in July 2006 for three nights. This inn is located in the Kitsilano area of Vancouver and we found it to be the perfect location in a quiet neighborhood yet two blocks from restaurants and shops and a very efficient bus system which will take you anywhere in downtown Vancouver. Our hosts were very helpful in helping us plan our sightseeing excursions.
The house is beautifully decorated as was our room. Inara has taken much care to pamper you with every amenity you could possibly need or want. Our room had lovely linens and a very comfortable bed. The bath was new with a large soaking tub and separate glass shower and lots of thick towels. The room and bath were spotless. The breakfast was served in a lovely dining room on a beautifully set table. Inara is a fabulous cook and outdid herself each morning with a different entree each one better than the one before. I don't know how she does it, but we loved all of them. You will not want to miss breakfast!! She is a wonderful hostess. We have stayed in many B&B's over the last 20 years and this was one of our most enjoyable experiences. We would highly recommend the Camelot Inn to anyone planning to stay in Vancouver. Thanks, Inara, for a wonderful time.

“perfect for romantic getaways”

Camelot Inn is the most charming and welcoming B&B I have ever been to. Its exquisite location, warm and welcoming hosts, and lovely rooms and suites only added up to our holiday experience. Mrs. Inara is very flexible with arranging check-in and check-outs to make everything as convinient for her guests as possible. We tried booking a room very late in a peak season, so getting a good place was really hard. Although all of her B&B rooms were already taken, she offered to welcome us in one of the suites. We were stunned by how well the suites were equipped - full kitchen with all the glassware (even fancy china set if you feel like celebrating something on your own), the biggest shower you can imagine and the comfiest queen size bed ever.
