I didn't stay at this BnB but the experience was bad just the same !

I have reserved a room for a three day stay in May 2010. I did so BEFORE checking Tripadvisor. Mistake. I have never seen so unanimous bad reviews. So I cancel my room the day after (early April). SURPRISE: the full amount have been charged to my credit card immediately and a non-advertised 50$ cancellation fee was charged to me. They refund me the rest. I filed a complaint at my credit card company and they refunded me in 48 hours. Conclusion: dishonnest way to make business, stay away.

I booked this room and had to cancel within 24 hours. Even though they had a 7 day cancellation policy they only refunded a partial amount after I had to file a dispute with my credit card company. They still say they are entitled to $150.00 administration and cancellation fee. I am even having a hard time getting this back from my credit card company. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!

I didn't even stay at this place and I had a terrible experience. I booked two nights at this bed and breakfast because I needed a place to stay on very short notice and it seemed to be the only place that wasn't booked. After reading several very bad reviews I called back and cancelled the same day, which was within the 7-day cancellation policy. You can imagine my surprise when they ended up charging my credit card anyway, even though we never actually stayed there. I called and emailed several times to clear up the "mistake", but my money was not returned until I filed a dispute claim with my credit card company and threatened to notify the Better Business Bureau. I would recommend finding another...ANY other place to stay!!!

Am VERY sorry we hadn't read the reviews prior to booking this B&B. As Chemainus B&B owners on vacation, thought it would be fun to "check out" how other owners treat their guests.

Worst experience we've ever had in a B&B, no better than a cheap, dingy motel. No effort to make guests feel comfortable. Mismatched, chipped furniture in the rooms, shared bathroom, meagre breakfast which the owner made right behind us, looking as though he'd just come out of bed. He was reminded that breakfast was provided (only between 8 and 9 he clarified!).

Bathroom looked as though it was someone's personal space, I suspect it was. An open room down the hallway had a yellow sheet wrapped around it to offer the homeowner some sort of "Privacy", reminded me of a flop house.

Stay away, probably best to sleep in a car. Unfortunately, not enough time to make other arrangements. Disappointing and will make a horrible impression on others who have this B&B as their first B&B experience. Beyond ridiculous how awful.
