My parents stayed here 7 years ago when it was run by a different couple, and loved it. Sadly, since it has changed hands, the standards have slipped. We stayed in the Kitsilano apartment which is in the basement. When we first entered the building, we were greeted by the smell of cat pee which someone had tried to cover up. There had obviously been animals in our apartment, although I can see no mention of this on their website, and this resulted in me having an asthma attack, which I haven't had in years as I avoid living with animals! The apartment smelled a little damp too, and there was some mould on the bathroom ceiling. In the kitchen, although they appliances were plentiful, there was a handwritten note telling us not to put the dishwasher on with any other appliance as it would blow the fuse. We adhered to this, but did put on the kettle, toaster and coffee maker, which promptly blew the fuse for the whole kitchen. They hadn't bothered to tell us where the fuse box was and there wasn't any spare fuses when we eventually found it. So...good points were that it was fairly clean and well located, but I really wouldn't recommend it. For $260CDN a night, I think you could do better.
