“Better than expected!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 December 2011

We stayed at The Langtry as part of our tour of the west coast in the fall. The place really was beyond expectation. We anticipated a somewhat more shabby experience. But everything was first rate: an absolutely classic pre-war building, but remodeled with all the mod-cons and perfectly clean and comfortable. Considering that the location is right in the heart of the city and the building is small, I was expecting some nighttime noise, but it was perfectly quiet and my sleep was undisturbed. Plus the building is so well located we were able to walk to shops, the beach and coffee.

“Best located dog friendly place in Vancouver's West End!”

Just two blocks west of Robson Street The Langtry worked great for our dog loving family. The location is also a quick walk to Stanley Park if your pet needs a lot of exercise or a few blocks the other direction is a small fenced dog park. Very quiet neighborhood with small coffee shops and grocery stores. The rooms are large and a full sized kitchen allowed us to cook some of our meals. Dean, the manager, obviously runs a tight ship as unit was very clean and every appliance operating. On a previous visit the coffee maker quit working and Dean was there within the hour with a new one.

“Ideal location and comfort”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 October 2010

The Langtry was in a perfect location for walking through out the West End. We were there a week and only used our car once! The street is tree-lined and quiet--an ideal set-up for a restful break during the day and a sound sleep at night.

The suite was comfortable and fully furnished with a large-screen TV (not that we watched it with so much to do!), kitchen with everything needed for cooking and eating, extra towels, plenty of hangers and closet space, etc. All-in-all, it was a great alternative to spending a week in a much more expensive and less comfortable hotel.

“A very nice little home away from home!”

We were in Vancouver for medical reasons and were looking for a place that would feel like home while we were in the city. We didn't want to eat out everyday and found the comforts of our own kitchen wonderful. We had everything we needed in our suite and the property manager went above and beyond our expectations. We stayed in suite 2, which was lovely. Very comfy and cozy feeling with the various antiques decorating the rooms. It also had a private entrance through it's own patio area which proved helpful to us travelling with pets.... also in summer it would be a lovely place to sit back and relax with a glass of wine and a book. Very good location and close to numerous downtown activites, parks and restaurants. Stanley park is only a few blocks away and an easy and beautiful walk. Should we need a place to stay in Vancouver again we would definately be back!

“Right in the middle of all you could need - or want!”

The Langtry is the great...but Dean (the Manager) is even better! Friendly, efficient and knows what 'customer satisfaction/service' is all about! I stayed in Suite 6 which is just right for one - or two. Comfortable, clean and has a dishwasher.
The Langtry is a small, cozy, stylish apartment building with modern ammenties. Off-street parking in the busy west-end is a bonus! However, with the convenient location - no vehicle required!
Other ammenities such as telephone (with voice mail), wireless internet, tv with extra cablevision channels, dvd player, hairdryer, communal washer & dryer are a huge plus too. You can use a fitness center located a few blocks away.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this delightful daily, weekly or monthly rental to anyone.
