Stay was during a heat wave. The air conditioner was at best minimally effective. I set it for 22 C- barely came down to 28 C at night - by morning 30 C. The air conditioner was vented through a cracked window that didn't completely close. I can guess that in the winter there is a bad draft and it would be cold.

The desk clerk charged $20 for parking, took my $20 bill, then didn't credit it to my account, the girl the next day charged $27 (tax- accounted for the extra), wouldn't take my word for it that I'd paid the day previously.

It isn't really an hotel. It is an apartment building that seems not to be able to sell all of it's units. At the bottom of the car park there are dozens of old furniture just like that which was in our room. I suspect that is why there was such a funny odor to the sofa.

Close to Stanley Park, nice view over downtown or the water, great price - 73 CAN/Night.

Helpful desk staff, We had a one bedroom suite, small kitchen with everything you need, bedroom wasn't huge, but was fine, washer/dryer really handy with some detergent. 10 CAN/day for wired internet. Really no faults at all.

Caper's whole food market and Safeway close by, really couldn't be better located. Check out the bike rental places and cycle around Stanley Park. Second time stayed there, probably wouldn't stay anywhere else in Downtown Vancouver.

The manager is straight out of a Monty Python skit. Clueless ... The three pieces of equipment in the "fitness center" were likely stolen from someone's rec room ... The "continental breakfast" is a box of mini muffins and the coffee is on you after 9 a.m. _ 50 cents a cup, indicative of the way this joint nickel-and-dimes .... The traffic on Georgia Street (check other commenters) makes the back side of the building sound like Soviet tanks are rolling into Prague. The windows don't open, the layout of the room is incovenient, the furniture and finishes (tile, carpets, etc.) are cheap. And I could go on.

What a shame _ property is in the middle of a great neighborhood. Of course, so are a lot of park benches and you wouldn't dream of sleeping there. Stay away.

I stayed at this hotel for the month of January. It looks nice and has 24 hour concierge service. It has 2 elevators, but one is almost always not working; so you have to wait for the elevator constantly.

The room came fully furnished, barely. I had 2 water glasses & 2 forks. Lots of cups, mugs and other cutlery, but I was constantly doing dishes to have a full setting. The "high speed internet" isn't high speed at all. A modem would have been faster. Plus it constantly kicks you off of your connection.

The shower head was split and sprayed everywhere in the bathroom. So all my items that I didn't keep under the sink were wet all the time.

The exercise equipment was so poorly maintained that the weight stacks stuck half way up. Mentioning it to the concierge didn't get it fixed, had to go buy some silicone lube to clean it myself (which I am sending them a bill for). Plus some of the equipment has broken welds and loose pivot anchors, so there will be a law suite any day due to negligence. They turn off the heat in the exercise room overnight, so expect to be freezing in the morning when you go to work out.

The cleaning service comes whenever they feel like it, instead of regularly. Also, things seemed to go missing every time they came through.

There were 3 light switches that did nothing. Plus there were way too many lights that only turned on with a button on the light.

The telephones always hang up on whomever you are talking to as well as when you first pick up the receiver (I had over 40 calls dropped). The closet door was off the track, so it wouldn't open and close properly. Cheap wire rack closet rods, in the bedroom and hallway with only 2 hangers for the entire place. The sliding doors to the "office" wouldn't close properly.

I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone I knew, and I would never stay here again.
