“Good value in a good location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2012

We spent one night at the Intrawest Wall Centre and had a very good experience. We choose this hotel in part because our friends were staying across the street at a Windmark timeshare but it was withing walking distance of many attractions and stores. We had a studio room which provided ample space for 2 people, there was a very large closet, large bathroom, a small kitchenette and wall to ceiling windows which provided amazing views. The only negatives were the $28/night parking fee which did include in and out privileges and there was a repair done to the bathroom ceiling which was not finished properly and made the bathroom feel a bit shabby. Overall I would not hesitant to recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfortable room in a convenient location.

“Noisy neighbours distract from an otherwise great stay”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 December 2011

We have stayed at the Intrawest Wall Centre previously and generally it was very good. Our most recent visit was very stressful and disappointing. The people staying above us (concrete building!!!) were extremely noisy. Loud music, up late partying at night, dragging their furniture across the floor at all hours of the day and banging on 'Godfrey only knows what' but like we were inside a drum sometimes. We mentioned the problem to the on duty concierge as well as the reception but nothing was done to deal with the situation over the 4 nights that we were there. Other than that it would have been great as it has generally been in the past. In general Club Intrawest people are very respectful and considerate but I've heard they now allow the Sheraton to rent Club Intrawest rooms to the general public.

“Great location and lovely room”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 September 2011

We stayed for three nights at Club Intrawest having booked it through Expedia. The location is ideal and very central. Easy to get to main Vancouver attractions. We had a bedsitter which was very comfortable and modern. Great views as I think we we on the 27th floor or thereabouts. Concierge service was excellent. Enjoyed Stanley Park and Granville Is in particular. Very happy to recommend this hotel.

“Fantastic views and location - ideal for short stays”

I stayed at Club Intrawest in May for 1 night and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Club Intrawest uses the top floors of the Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre tower and guests are able to use all of the Sheraton's facilities. The location is excellent, within walking distance of many of the major attractions. I had a queen bed room, which had a small kitchenette as well as a seating area with table. The room was a good size and had a huge bathroom, with walk in shower. Being on the top floors of the tower the rooms have magnificent views, especially with the floor to ceiling windows. The room was clean, very comfortable and felt modern (although note for longer stays cleaning isn't done every day). Check-in and check-out was all through the Sheraton hotel staff who were polite and friendly.

Given I checked in late and left relatively early I didn't use the Club Intrawest area (which is a lounge area with tea/coffee/snacks/newspapers and PCs available). There is a conceierge on duty during the day who can help with reservations and other bookings. Club Intrawest also gives discounts on some of the Sheraton's paid for facilities such as spa treatments.

The gym and swimming pool area are excellent, the pool was a nice size and there are changing facilities there to use. Be aware the gym can get busy though. If you can find a cheap deal for Club Intrawest then I definitely recommend it, especially if your only planning on staying a few nights. However at full price I'm not sure if it's worth it, there's bigger rooms in hotels close by.

Bad points - Can be pricey.

Good points - Excellent location for downtown. Fantastic views and a really comfy room. Free Wi-fi. Club Intrawest facilities useful especially for those with busy schedules.

Tips - The hotel is about 10 minutes walk from the Skytrain (Vancouver City Centre or Yaletown - both on the Canada line which links direct to the airport). There's a small notice-board outside the Club Intrawest lounge where people put up their hints and tips for Vancouver's best restaurants and activities, well worth a read.

“Stunning views and apartment”

Club Intrawest is based on the top 3 floors of the north tower of the Sheraton Wall Centre. There is a 24 reception in both towers.

We had a 1 bedroom suite for 3 of us. The room was very comfortable, very modern, and had spectacular views of the city (Robson Square). The service by the staff was excellent.

The hotel is based halfway down Burrard street so is within 10 minutes walk of False Creek (Granville Island), and Coal Harbour/Gastown. It is closer to the centre of the shopping and entertainment districts. Yaletown, with it's excellent bars and restaurants is an easy 10 minute stroll as well. It's a bit far to walk to the nearest Skytrain station (Yaletown Roundhouse) with suitcases. We caught a taxi from the airport ($42) and then on the way back to the airport we got a taxi to Yaletown Roundhouse station ($5) and caught the train from there.

We arrived at the hotel around 11am. The room wasn't ready (as expected), but the hotel stored our cases and issued us with receipts for them.

The rooms came with complimentary wireless internet (nice as other hotels charge around $15 per day)

We had a very nice stay there and would certainly recommend it.
