We enjoyed our stay at the Rosellen Suites. This quiet retreat was great after a busy business day. The staff were very helpful. Spacious rooms. Close to the park to enjoy a walk [if it isn't raining]. We will returning to Vancouver in a few months and booking with the Rosellen again.

Rosellen Suites is a great base for Vancouver, particularly if staying with a family. We stayed in a 2-bedroom 2-bathroom apartment and the setup was superb for 2 adults and 2 teenage children. The location is marvellous. The West End is my favourite part of Vancouver, as you feel like you're in a suburban neighbourhood and not in a big endless hotel strip filled with tourist shops (such as Robson Street). The apartments are right next door to Stanley Park with its numerous walking tracks. A couple of blocks away is access to frequent public buses to downtown (although you can also walk with no problems, count on 20 mins plus), cafes, a large Safeway supermarket and a liquor store. The price was very competitive to hotels, given you get a full kitchen and can self-cater allowing you to save on food costs. Staff were also very friendly and helpful, and there is carparking on site (more room if you park on the street as the downstairs parking area is very tight for large cars).

Rosellen Suites is my preferred lodging for business or pleasure trips to Vancouver Island. The trails of Stanley Park are right there for walking, running or biking. It is a quick 15 minute walk to the Bayshore and only about 30 minutes walk to city center along lively Robson Street. The suites are well furnished, nice-sized and very quiet. The staff are friendly and helpful. Twice I have arrived very late because of travel glitches, and the hotel staff made late check-in most convenient. There are a Safeway, convenient stores, coffee shops, wine shops and a variety of small restaurants all within a few blocks on Denman Street. After a noisy stressful business day, it is wonderful to relax in a quiet room at Rosellen.

We really enjoyed Rosellen Suites on our recent stay in Vancouver. The building from the outside is dated, but once you are in it is very welcoming and comfortable. The duty manager was extremely helpful at all times. The rooms are spacious and there was a lovely welcoming basket. The Suites are 2 minutes from Stanley Park and 5 minutes from Denman St where there are great restaurants - one in particular was a small Sushi restaurant that had a $7.95 deal which was very generous. The main centre of Robson St where the Art Gallery is was only 20minutes walk, so everything was extremely convenient. Safeway is also around the corner so you can make use of the kitchen in the suite. I would recommend this to a family wanting space and option of a kitchen. During summer being so close to Stanley Park would be fantastic.
