Bernie and Peter are terrific hosts. The room was very clean and comfortable .Attention is paid to all the things that makes ones stay very enjoyable (bed warmer, refrigerator with cold water, scented soap and lotion in bathroom).It is a short walk to Pacific Spirit Park with a variety of great walking paths in a beautiful treed setting.I definitely look forward to staying there again.

We spent 4 pleasant days as guests of Bernie. Pacific Spirit is a charming cottage located in a bucolic neighborhood away from downtown. There are 2 rooms...Cedar is the larger, Garden the smaller. We stayed in Cedar. It has a king bed and full bath room adjacent to the bedroom, just outside the door. The main drawback is that the windows face a wall and a covered deck, so the room is a little dark. The Garden room is smaller with a queen bec and small attached bathroom with shower only. But it's windows faces the front yard so had good light. As always, what makes PS pleasant is Bernie our hostess. She is very relaxed and friendly and has a way of making us feel at home in her home. She generously provided lots of cups, glasses, plates, silverware, etc, for in-room picnics. Her breakfasts are continental but generous with fruits, pastries, yogurt, cereal. We chatted one morning about adding a cheese selection and voila there were cheeses the following morning. We like the neighborhood because it is away from downtown and made us feel like a resident.

Let me tell you the good things first. The hostess was extremely helpful and friendly. The room was large and neat and clean with bed warmers and an electric fireplace. The bathroom was pretty with nice organic toiletries. There were many birds around the house since the hosts had made many arrangements to feed them.
The disappointing things: The bathroom was not en-suite, which we were not aware of and that was very inconvenient. The breakfast was continental, which was a surprise to us, since we thought we would be served a hot breakfast after having seen pictures of the breakfast dishes on some B&B sites from Vancouver. The location was next to the Pacific Spirit park, where we did not end up going anyway. It took an hour to get to downtown by bus and the skytrain. The nearest bus stop was a 15 minute walk.
I would not recommend this place to anyone who is interested in spending most time downtown or in Stanley Park.

The rooms were clean and cozy. We especially liked the fact that it was private and was nearby several parks that are dog friendly. Nice clean bathroom and many amentities.
