Loved everything...easy entry at 11p.m...able to make tea in my room...appreciated the bathrobe...yummy chocolate on bed...easy transportation by bus and Skytrain...leisurely, interesting, tasty breakfasts with fellow travellers...after 8 hours walking through Stanley Park and downtown, was too tired to go out for dinner, bought gourmet food and had it hot from the microwave in my room...also fridge, dishes,cutlery availablle in room...soft mattress top felt great on aching body...large room Far East #1, very comfortable...shared bathroom worked out okay...friendly place for a single lady to stay. Was treated like family.

Barb mad us feel welcome right away. She tuned in quickly to our interests and offered us several perfect options to visit during our brief two day stay. Her restaurant recommendation of Suavi was just perfect for what we wanted. There was great attention to detail and every need was anticipated, the room was thoughtfully supplied with everything from needles and thread , discount books, restaurant reviews, and all the expected amenities. It was like staying with a friend. A perfect place for a weekend getaway or a week visit.

My husband and I have already told friends about what a wonderful start to our vacation our experience at The Treehouse was. Bob and Barb could not have been more friendly and helpful. Bob even sent us out sightseeing with a map of everywhere we wanted to go! And Barb made us a special early boxed breakfast so we could head out before the regularly scheduled 9am gourmet breakfast and let me tell you our "little" breakfast was SO tasty and more than adequate!
I won't forget what a wonderful nights sleep I had with a bit of dripping rain out the window. The locaion was residential and quiet but easy to find and not far off the main road so you don't get lost. We stayed with Barb (we didn't meet Bob) for 5 days in May and loved it. We intended to stay three days but the hospitality and comfort was so good that we stayed an extra two days. The breakfasts were a banquet and the menus were different each day. Barb was full of helpful suggestions on things to do and how to get around, she added greatly to the enjoyment of our trip to Vancouver.
The only drawback was that we were staying in Far East 1 (a small room) and I kept hitting my ankle off the base of the bed, which was tubular steel. However, the bed was very comfortable and we slept well. For our extra days were moved to Pacific West, which was much bigger and very luxurious. The atmosphere in the hotel was great, very zen, water sounds, relaxing.
A bald eagle's nest complete with chick was just outside the B&B and we were able to watch the mother bird feeding the chick. That was amazing.
