Beds extremely comfortable, breakfast was nice and simple and healthy. My room opened onto the backyard which was very comfortable and relaxing. The pictures posted do not show the beautiful finished backyard.
I needed to stay another night and they were able to accommodate my request.
I only saw Barb and their student staff, but not her husband. They were all very nice and helpful when they were there. I did not see a lot of them even though I spent the entire two days at the TreeHouse. In fact I had to assist a newly arriving couple when they came to check in. They were an older couple and had some trouble following the directions left on the front door for them, including how to get in.
Plenty of guidebooks and tourist information. Kerrisdale is about a 20 minute walk or 5 minute drive away. Know that on a Sunday everything in Kerrisdale closes early, including a number of restaurants.
Note that the Farwest 1 and Farwest 2 share a bathroom.
In all it was a very relaxing time and I would go back again.

Thanks for your review. We are glad that you liked the little Asian garden with the door guardian from Bali. Our guests have enjoyed the quiet, cool, outside sitting area.
Our gourmet, organic breakfast is very popular with our guests. Some guests, like you, prefer to come to breakfast at an optional time and therefore choose to have a continental breakfast instead of the gourmet breakfast. The smaller continental breakfast includes homemade juice, a fruit platter, cereal, yogurt parfait, hard boiled eggs, cheese, and baking.
Bob regrets that he did not have an opportunity to meet you. He is quite active at A TreeHouse but less visible! Though he is very busy with his contracting and consulting business, he is working on a new website for A TreeHouse. He also does all the maintenance jobs that others can’t do. Most of our guests leave the B&B right after breakfast so our focus time in assisting our guests with sightseeing plans, restaurant choices, etc. is right after breakfast. I remember that you had had quite a stressful time leading up to your stay with us (having missed your flight, arriving a day late, etc). and preferred to rest in your room. We thought it best not to disturb you. We wish that we had known that you wanted to visit with us more.
Thanks for assisting the older couple. Our electronic door is easy for guests to use and is quite popular. It makes check in “a breeze” at any time of day or night. We are unable to be at the B&B 24/7. We leave, as you can imagine, for groceries, general shopping and even sometimes to be with our friends. That said we are always just a phone call away and can get back to the B&B quickly if our guests call us (as we request in the welcome note attached to the electronic pad) from the phones in all rooms and the entry hall.
Kerrisdale, an eight block walk (10 minute walk), from our front door is a treasure trove of small boutiques and restaurants. The restaurants do close early. In our TreeHouse Guide, located in all rooms, our guests can find information about restaurants nearby and phone numbers so that they can call to check hours.
Our bargain rooms, the Far East Room 1 and Far East Room 2 share a bathroom which is of course cleaned daily. We provide separate towels, bath mats, face cloths, etc for each room. Also, an additional bathroom with sink and toilet is available for guest use.
We would love to have you stay with us again. Have a great summer!
