“Convenient but small rooms”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 February 2012

This hotel is in a great location for getting about downtown for shopping, restaurants and even BC Place The front desk was friendly and efficient .
when we asked for extras they were at the door within minutes . The only downside was that the rooms were small , We had two teenagers who had to share a sofa bed and the space was quite tight.

“FABULOUS. Girls weekend -”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 February 2012

This was offered on a groupon on their off season so needless to say I paid a fraction of what the room would be worth in peak time. When I called to ask a few questions, which I always do to feel out how the experience in the hotel will be, the gentleman, Paul was incredibly sweet and accommodating. Since it was my first stay, he offered to upgrade to a corner suite on a higher floor (love it when this happens!). We arrived and noticed the hotel was almost tucked in, hidden on Hornby, easy to pass on a one way street! Gorgeous interior, quick and easy check in and the hallways were glamorous and decadent. There was a definite boutique/french quality to this hotel. Our one bedroom suite was stunning, not the largest floor space but manageable with 4 women getting ready for a night on the town. Anything we needed, was up to our door in under 3 minutes. Very helpful staff and incredible experience. We were slow to leave the following day, and they front desk assured there was no hurry at all.

Room Tip: Corner suite - best overall look aesthetically.

“A lovely Stay at LeSoleil Hotel in Vancouver”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012

Our LeSoleil Experience:

We had the pleasure of staying at Le Soleil Hotel in Vancouver from December 30th, 2011 to January 3rd, 2012. Right from the moment we arrived we knew we were going to enjoy our stay. The bellmen were courteous. The lobby was warm and elegant. Our check-in experience was seamless, the front desk staff made us feel like we were right at home. Overall the staff was very attentive. They made some excellent recommendations for restaurants, shopping areas and directions. We were lucky enough to stay in the penthouse suite which as just beautiful.

The suite was huge and very comfortable. It had a master bedroom, with very comfortable bedding, a bathroom with double sinks, a shower & Jacuzzi tub. It had a kitchen and dining room which was nice because we ordered takeout from a terrific Thai Restaurant in the area on New Years Eve before heading out on the town. The suite also included an office and a main room with 20 foot ceilings. The huge rooftop patio surrounding the suite was also a nice surprise, a bit cold in December/January; but it provided some beautiful views of the water, mountains and cityscape.

The hotel is in a perfect location, within a five minute walking distance from the waterfront and great shopping on Robson St. To top off our stay we ran into a Vancouver Canuck, Ryan Kessler in the lobby at check out. We would hesitate staying at Le Soleil again and we would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a great place to stay in downtown Vancouver.

Scott & Melissa,

Room Tip: You can't go wrong with the Penthouse Suite!!

The suites are comfortable and clean. A perfect place to relax after sightseeing and shopping. Service is exceptional and rooms are clean. Quiet considering business district location.

“Boutique chic, great beds, but overall a bit bland”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

I typically only stay at boutique hotels - largely for the unique experience, the customized attention and that little something extra. While the location and nicely branded (sun) rooms are convenient, the overall experience was a bit bland. The staff are polite but not overly friendly or helpful. I would have really appreciated some advice on places to go for dinner (not the restaurant next door!) and ways to make my business trip to Vancouver even more memorable. After all, this is the city that hosted the Olympics - certainly there is more to see than Holt Renfrew! I will say, however, that the beds are unbelievable - I wish mine at home was as comfortable! Well done there!
