This is a small place, with 2 studios and one suite. Owners live in same building.
We stayed in the Garden suite, a large space with bedroom, kitchen, couch in front of fireplace, 2 person jetted tub, large windows opening on private outside patio (gas BBQ provided) and rain forest. Very confortable, laid back, restful.
Beach just 5 minutes walk away.
Kitchen is so well equipped it even had the instruments to eat crab -
This is no B&B: owners leave you to do what you want - this is what we prefer.

Sea Star is a great place when you have kids or teens in tow - comfortable, cosy and roomy - everything you need for a pleasant stay. We wanted to spend most of our days exploring Tofino and area and just needed a place to make our breakfasts and share quiet evenings after dining out. We stayed in "The Loft" for 4 nights and it was exactly what we needed - the comforts of home but with the remarkable beauty of Tofino surrounding us (and a place to store your surfboards!). Chesterman Beach is a short walk away, and the town of Tofino just a 2 minute drive away. We found the beds very comfortable, the eat-in kitchen perfect, and the sunken tub in the washroom amazing. The area surrounding the Sea Star was very peaceful and lush with nature - a great way to experience Tofino.

My husband and I booked our 20th anniversary at the Sea Star. It was a very nice room and being across the street from the beach was fantastic. We liked the short drive to Tofino. The room had everything we needed. The "hot" tub was not hot by the time the tub was filled so we only used it once and that was one of the reasons we chose the room. The unfortunate part of the stay was the constant sound of thumping on the ceiling from the tireless child upstairs. Not the best when you are there to relax, leave the kids at home and have a romantic Anniversary getaway.

I have stayed at various places in the Tofino area such as Ocean Village and Crystal Cove and was hesitant to stay here due to the relative low cost. We could not believe how lovely the place was; wonderful 2 person jacuzzi, washer and dryer, everything you could need in a kitchen including a dishwasher, comfy bed and couch, larger tv than is portrayed on the website, and a fireplace. We never even used the hot tub but it looked very nice. The suite is decorated very tastefully; the owners have thought of every detail you could need for your stay.

What a bargain!
