With my wife and two other family members we stayed here for one night, using two rooms (the Fir Suite) for $250.00 plus tax. The house can accomodate a maximum of six guests, and is in a quiet part of Tofino an easy 10 minutes walk from the harbour. We were courteously welcomed by the owner, Wendy, and offered socks to wear when in the house as shoes are not preferred either by Wendy nor by Gino, the cat. The rooms were very nice, with en suite bathrooms, and each had a decanter containing some sherry and two glasses! The guest lounge is very comfortable, and there is a view of the bay from the breakfast room. The breakfast was also very nice consisting of a fruit salad, orange juice, freshly baked individual quiche, scones, and coffee or tea as preferred. Breakfast was served by Wendy, who then joined us in the breakfast room for an informal chat. Tofino is a very pleasant fishing village and we had dinner in a restaurant overloking the harbour from where we watched launches ferrying the local first nation residents back and forth across the bay to their village, seals bobbing in the water, and a sea 'plane moored at the harbour.
We would recommend Tofino as a very pleasant and relaxing place in a beautiful setting, and the Wilp Gybuu guesthouse as a high quality accomodation option.
