I had bought a coupon for this place, and I should have checked TripAdvisor first. I thought I had bought a nice weekend getaway - I even upgraded to a water view room. The pictures on their website look way better than they are. My "water view" consisted of a room about as far away from the water as you could get, and if you went on the balcony and then turned 90 degrees towards the water and then looked across the parking lot full of old pickup trucks and past the pub & restaurant, you could see a bit of water.
The room was a basic motel room, not a "resort". The carpets were in rough shape, and the bedding was pretty sad. The mattress was pretty old and not very comfortable.
The only good part of the coupon I bought was that it had a $50 credit to the pub, so at least we could eat and drink when we got in late Friday night. The pub food was pretty decent. But then sadly we had to go back to the room. First then when I got up, I called around and found some place else to stay that was nicer, and gave up the second night that I had paid for the place. When I checked out, they did not charge me for the upgrade which is what I was hoping for.
