“This accommodation is just lovely!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 September 2009

Ralph and Lynn have thought of everything! There are alot of small touches - music playing as you come into the place, tea/coffee when you want, unlimited homemade cookies, books, magazines and dvd's; everything to make your stay comfortable. The barbeque and hot tubs are the best bonus not found in most bed and breakfast - I love Salt Spring and come back yearly and always look forward to staying with Ralph and Lynn.

“Best B&B experience ever”

Because we had such excellent pre-stay assistance from Ralph it came as no surprise to us that our stay matched all of our expecations.

Most of the good stuff has been said already in other postings(unequalled attention to detail, help when you want it - but only if you want it) great cookies etc etc etc

We visited with our 12 year old son and actually we felt the accommodation suited our family size and format perfectly (a small bed for him in an alcove off the lounge and a nice double bedroom for us)

The B&B is also very conveniently located - walking distance from Ganges if you feel energetic

We spent 5 nights at Anchor Point but could easily have made it 2 weeks!

“Amazing B&B -- even without power!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 December 2007

My husband booked us into Anchor Point for a surprise weekend getaway in December. Who knew we'd be in the middle of a freak snowstorm while we were there? (for those of you not familiar with this part of Canada, snow is unusual here)

At Anchor Point, Lynne and Ralph have thought about everything. They clearly understand the B&B experience from the customer point of view. From the well stocked kitchen, with a top notch assortment of teas and coffee and cider, to the terrific appetizers in the fridge, to the sherry in the entertainment unit, to the bathrobes and slippers, to the breakfast delivered to your room, all the small touches were just perfect. Because there was a danger the power would go out, they provided a flashlight (powered by battery and crank), as well as battery-powered candles and actual candles.

We had the suite downstairs, and it was well provisioned for us to hole up while the entire island shut down due to snow. We had our pick of their 600+ DVDs, plenty of board games, free wifi, a gas fireplace and a lovely kitchen. The deck, with its grill, would have been lovely in summer. The decor was very tasteful, in addition to being functional. The pictures on the website are absolutely truthful -- everything was exactly as advertised.

Breakfast was, as mentioned in other reviews, lovely. We were able to make our own choices from a menu, and then they magically appeared in our suite the next morning -- even when the oven stopped working. Lynne can work wonders!

We'll certainly be back -- in better weather next time!

“A little oasis of calm”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 June 2007

We chose Anchor Point B&B on Saltspring island as a base to relax after longhaul flight from Europe to Vancouver and charge up for two months of travelling through BC and the Rockies. It was perfect. Lynne and Ralph have recently converted the basement area into a self-contained studio apartment with patio, garden access and sea views and our two nights at Anchor Point were a real treat. Breakfast was delivered each morning with lashings of fresh fruit and delicious home baking. Good recommendations were dispensed freely in a warm and friendly fashion and evening soaks in the hot tub were just what the doctor ordered !

We would recommend Anchor Point very highly.

We would ;like to thank Ralph and Lynn for a wonderful stay at their
beautiful B&B. They thought of everything to make our stay most enjoyable. Robes and slippers for the Hot Tub. Mini fridge stocked
with pop, delicious appys at 5:00 p.m. every evening with refreshments. The Breakfast were to die for. A basket of assorted
warm biscuits & muffins followed by warm carmalized peaches on
yogurt and our entree baked fritta. A marvelous meal. Lynn gave us a paper bag to take along our left over muffins to enjoy during our day of exploring this wonderful Island of Salt Spring. Ralph was full
of knowledge about the Island and gave us some great tips on what to see, where to go, great recomendations on restaurants.
We will be back. There is so much we did not see on the Island.
We will stay at Anchor point on our next trip and look forward to enjoing all the great amenties it has to offer.
Thanks again Ralph and Lynn for a most enjoyable 2 days.
