Anne's is a wonderful bed and breakfast in a magnificent setting on Salt Spring Island, high on an ocean-front bluff with views towards the forested and mountainous Vancouver Island. My wife and I would highly recommend this for anyone who appreciates friendly, professional, and congenial hosts, comfortable rooms, spectactular views, and delicious breakfasts.

Anne and Rick had formerly successfully operated a motel in southern Alberta before building this home, about 15 years ago, specifically to serve as a bed and breakfast. Each guest room consists of a large bedroom with a sitting area, kitchenette, and well-appointed bathroom with jacuzzi tubs. These second-floor rooms are accessible by stair and elevator, and each has an ocean or forest view. The remainder of the house available for guest use include a well-stocked library, a large dining room, a bright living room overlooking the ocean, and a wrap-around deck with spectactular views. Outdoor spaces include a zig-zag paved walk down to the rocky water's edge, a great place for relaxing (and watching the many starfish in the water).

Anne and Rick are warm and friendly hosts, quite ready to join their guests at the breakfast table, while also providing all the privacy their guests may wish. Breakfasts are like none other we have experienced at a B&B (or at many commercial restaurants, for that matter): each course was well-presented and delicious, and each morning's offering was a wonderful surprise. Breakfast at Anne's is not a time to bolt down your food and rush off: we all enjoyed our time sharing travel stories with one another and getting to know our fellow guests for the time we were there.

Anne's makes Salt Spring Island a destination well worth considering.

We had never been to Salt Spring Island before, and we took a chance at the last minute to go there. We found a place to stay at a B & B. When we arrived at the house of Anne and Rick's wonderful location, we were pleasantly surprised, As we had not ever stayed at a B & B, this would be our first experience with this kind of accomodation.
When we stepped through the door,we felt at home immidiately. Our room was fantastic, and the deck on the front of the house, overlooking the water, was heavenly. The multi course Breakfast was excellent. We would go again in a heart beat, and we recommend this great property to everyone.

This is a beautiful, welcoming spot run by warm and welcoming hosts. We have been coming back here for years, and it really does feel like a home away from home. The rooms are spacious and spotless, each with a private ensuite bath equipped with a hydromassage tub, all necessary amenities, and thick, soft towels.
Our favourite room, the Garry Oak, has a fantastic ocean view which can be enjoyed from the recliners next to the fireplace.
There's always a sweet, home-baked treat available, along with teas and coffee, and the delicious four-course breakfasts will set you up until suppertime.
Hosts Rick and Ruth-Anne are always happy to visit, but equally happy to give you all the privacy you need.
Guest rooms are all upstairs, but there is also a dining room, lounge and library on the main level for visitors, especially welcome when one is travelling with friends.
All this, and it's so peaceful and quiet.
