Been here a few times over the years, and there are marked improvements over the last year. The rooms have been upgraded, bed are much more solid vs. the older rolling beds they had, and the restaurant has really cleaned up (they used to have broken boards, and the tables were ancient, but they cleaned up the walls, and all the tables are new, the food is still as good as it was a year ago).
I really wish they would put more lights around, as it would really help the look, but overall, I can't complain. It's located very close to the downtown core, walking distance to everything, and one of the few that has an open bar in the basement. cheaper than the crest, but the crest is a legit hotel, this always felt a bit more like a motel grown up, but I don't mind that at all.
